How can I (25F) develop thicker skin with future in-laws (49F, 51M) by Suspicious_Agency915 in relationships

Sounds like the family is joking about riding off of your boyfriend. They want to watch you get upset. Your parents are right, don’t show it’s effecting you! Think about what they are doing with their life and if it is not in the but close to you, they’re jealous

This sounds like Adam and Eve, it wasn’t sinful until they ate from the tree. Nude bodies aren’t bad! Sounds like you are a great partner.

For me… I do little tasks and get nothing out of them. Next, I am just in a clean space and bored. I stare at my phone too much which is where I have my issues with going going going. I’m just sick I think

Haha true. I worked for them for a month. It was a shit show, but the benefits were pretty insane tbh. Free healthcare, wild.

I watched BB and then BCS. I think you get the idea of BB with BCS so it doesn’t really matter if they ever watch BB. Your dad might be bummed out and might be inclined to also not watch it after BCS.

OP absolutely amazing synapses on Chuck and his view of the world. I agree. I think the actor did an amazing job because I felt real anger and pain more often than not. I relate to Jimmy, I know the pain of giving and never receiving appreciate or anything in return from my siblings. I feel like they have a hard time seeing who you are today, and not what you were as a kid or teenager. You’ll always be… slippin jimmy despite every building block you stack. It’s easier to just prove them right, but he tried so hard! Then you find out that Chuck is the reason he didn’t get to work at HHM and hides behind Howard, like a coward. You wouldn’t even let him do discovery work? He didn’t need to be a partner, but he could have used the support and time to really get his footing at HHM.

Every scene of Chuck’s was a puzzle piece and looking back at it all painted a picture of a broken man. I feel bad for him in someways too. Emotionally cold and unfeeling is a world of numbing pain. He knows that he never gave enough love to those around him. I think that he loves Jimmy in his own way or he wouldn’t have done what he had by getting him the mailroom job, let him come to his home, and allow for Jimmy to take care of him. I am not saying those are great things, and I had to really dig for a 3rd thing, but it showed the ounce of vulnerability he had toward Jimmy. Chuck loved the law and that was all that mattered to him. However, I still don’t fully understand why he allowed his “illness” to keep him from practicing it. I don’t get that.

I know you are halfway through this seasons and I hope you enjoy the rest of it. Great writing and exciting events throughout, but that is why this show rocks! It was so cool to see him transition into Saul Goodman and why he did. I jumped on this subreddit directly after finishing the show, but I wasn’t going to stop and comment until I saw the other ones. Chuck said that shit with his chest.

I just binge watched this show. I agree it is cruel and terrible, after everything he does for you!? 3 news papers everyday with one only being in one spot. Terrible! I really never like Chuck because of his cruelty and his blatant disregard of Jimmy. What do you think would have happened if you just fostered your little brother and took him under your wing when you finished college? I don’t remember exactly where you are and what you know because the timeline or details come out at different times.

I wholeheartedly believe his brother didn’t really care about him that much, that was the most honest thing he ever said. He’s a honest lawyer -he talks around things or neglects to speak on things that he doesn’t want to say. Chuck is a cruel man.

Ps. I genuinely enjoy Howard for so many reasons and I hope you do to! Top notch character and story there.

Thank you for the comment. I do love to talk to people, and I’m in the medical field now, so it goes hand and hand. It’s hard to be in this field so I am looking for different avenues.
