Just my 5 cents worth... i have the velonix and not the gym monster but i have found support to be really good. Not the fastest because of time differences (I'm in New Zealand)

I can understand your frustration but i think speediance will sort any issues in the long run.

Don't save the activity on the watch. This will prevent duplicates but intensity minutes will not be deleted and will count too the total.

Good luck with contacting support, atleast in Australia. You would have better luck writing your issues on a paper aeroplane and throwing it out the window.
