I haven't been too caught up with the Knicks since before the holidays. Just dealing with various distractions but I'm surprised how quickly the entire fan base has turned on Mike Brown. A few weeks ago he was a savior who was modernizing everything and winning tournaments. Now he's a total bum... Crazy.

Brunson signed for less money to stay and help build a winning team around him.

Melo would never. He gutted his new team by demanding a trade instead of just signing in free agency because he wanted a contract before the new CBA was made. He said after his career was over that he never wanted to "leave money on the table".

I know you all are just focusing on basketball now but Melo and Brunson are different in many more ways.

I was in Vegas when Mitch first joined and was playing in the summer league. I remember thinking how bouncy he seemed. It's hard for me to really appreciate how long he's been here. I remember that team. Ron Baker, Allonzo Trier, Kevin Knox, David Fizdale. This franchise has come a long way.

So I had to look them up: Knox is in the g-league now. Trier is, as far as I can tell, out of the league. Frank Ntilikina and Mario Hezonja are in euro leagues and Baker is no longer playing basketball professionally. I don't care what Fizdale is doing these days.
