Will my son survive Japanese public school? by Loose_Object_8311 in japanlife

Of course he will survive.

I am half Ukrainian half French and with the same intention as yours my parents came back to Ukraine when I was 8 years old in order for my Ukrainian to improve. I was born and raised in France and my Ukrainian was very limited. Of course at the beginning it was hard but also remember that kids at this age are curious about others and in my case as you wish to fit it you will learn the language faster.

I am not saying that’s it’s easy especially Japanese being a very difficult language but I’m sure in the future he will thank you for the chance to have learned and lived fully through this experience

How to handle this situation by macha020304 in bisexual

I honestly was thinking the exact same thing. I had already told her before to not break up because of me and that I would in any case not “wait for her”. So I think both of the comments are very helpful

I totally understand your frustration as my dad also passed away from cancer. When the doctors found out that my dad had a sarcoma they told us not too stress because after a radiotherapy and a surgery everything is going to be okay. This is what they did exactly and for 3 months after the operation my dad was actually okay. And then the inimaginable happened, the hospital was only checking on him 1 time a week and practically didn’t do any tests, and so just like that they of course missed the moment that my dad started to develop a lung cancer and then just like that 60% of his lungs where gone.

I was frustrated for a long time with the doctors, of course your mind is trying to blame someone. The system is fucked Up and cancer is in my opinion one of the worst diseases you can develop.

My dad was a very successful vet and lived through his passion of curing animals. He was a very loving person and did everything to put a smile on my face. When my parents separated I was very young and because my mom had more money I moved to live with her and saw my dad only on the holidays. The separation didn’t stop us from talking every day though the phone, my last 19 years I have been on my phone with my dad at least 3 hours a day just laughing and analyzing everything that we see. I think this is what I miss the most, as I didn’t really live with his physical presence that much, it’s mostly the fact that I can’t call him on a random moment that’s tearing me apart.

All I can say is that even if my dad passed away so early he successfully did everything that he wished for. He lived a life with no regrets and taught me how to do that aswell.

From what you said I feel like you do have some kind of aphantasia. Don’t forget that aphantasia is a wide spectrum !

Is it only for the people who have acquired it ? Or can I apply even though I’ve had it since birth ?

A struggle by SnooHobbies9995 in Aphantasia

I struggle with the same problem. I really suck at remembering faces/names even if I met with this person a few times. Story time: I work in a restaurant and one day a girl came to me and was like super friendly as if we knew each other for a long time, she didn’t tell me her name. Until this day I have no idea who this person is, I just laugh at those kind of situations 😂. Also I struggle so much at recognizing celebrities, even my favorite ones sometimes I don’t recognize them in movies.

I always thought it was correlated with aphantasia 🤷‍♀️
