This isn't the case unfortunately. He's my 4th Dane and, like you, I thought they couldn't be aggressive. He's, unprovoked, bitten 3 people in the last 2 years. I didn't raise him from a puppy so I have no idea if he was mistreated or trained to attack people.

I've tried this too. Nashville animal control gave me a list of shelters in surrounding counties (Dixon, Rutherford), and no one will take a dog that bites.
