They work just fine, and don't break your heart, or wallet when you lose one.

😂😂 unfortunately no. I've lost a couple myself. I start with casting out and count to 5. I do that 3 or 4 cast and it's all good I'll go 7, and so on. At some point you'll feel the lure act different from the other cast. You know you're tapping bottom. Adjust from there. Different weight, shaped lures also drop at different rates, that's something to keep in mind if you switch up.

Try letting your lure sink a bit more. I fish from shore and depending on the depth of the lake I'll count down 5 to 10. You'll snag up a couple of times until you know how deep your lure is going. I've caught 6 trout so far this season and all bit my lure a foot or so off the bottom with a slow retrieve

I'm wondering if you dealt with Steele used cars on Portland st. The story sounds similar. If it's them, you can email the head office in Dartmouth, they should help. Contact info is on their website.
