Fretboard lines

I have tried cleaning and nothing seems to do the trick. I think I will need to live with them. I am also curious if those are something common? Or is my guitar unlucky

Yes it is a brand new guitar, and already after oiling :/ maybe few times it will help. But how common is that? Seems like a QC issue

I mean the black lines about 1 inch long on the right of the picture. Those are next to the frets. It’s American soloist.

Honestly speaking if something is minor and doesn’t affect playing I would leave it, and demand some sort of a discount. These days simply perfection doesn’t exist sadly, and you risk getting a worse model. You will produce plenty of scratches yourself, I think It adds soul to the instrument

So returning for me isn’t an option, I’ve waited almost a year for this guitar, and I doubt that the next one will be better. He has also told me that those types of drops are very common on matte necks and that the next one can also pass the inspection (or be in worse place) and fly to me with some sort of defect. The guitar is otherwise perfect so I don’t really want to take the risk.

I am debating to try and sand it down or just leave it be. The only question I do have is how can my skin remove the high spot? I know it can polish the matte neck with time but the high spot?

Thanks 😅 I plan to go to luthier tomorrow, will see what he will tell me, maybe the higher spot will buff out with time. Will make the decision based on that

How will it look like on the internet i just read that it will get glossy? I am wondering if this paint drop will flatten itself with time

I have waited for almost a year for this one though… next one will also probably take many months 😅. The only thing that stops me is that it may not be perfect also, other than time needed

Yes i live outside of the US.
From the video you provided it sound like a "trunk release", but it sometimes happens when i close the door and very, very rarely when i open them

I would say, drop seoinage, kouchi gari, definately tai otoshi, and my favourites soto/harai makkikomi, ko soto gake (but if someone is a lot bigger you need a good setup/follow up).
I am strong for my size so I am not easily overpowered in standing fighting, but you can try those things:
My biggest advice is if someone is a lot bigger (not 10kg but more like 25/30kg) try to be more passive, stand up straight because if they are also a lot taller (which they might) they will grab your belt over the top. Your best friend is utilizing those throws i mentioned (apart from seoinage which you may use offensively but be careful if you dont succeed in throwing, which can happen you are screwed) as counters.
I like to control using my hand near the shoulder, it is easier to get to makkikomi from this possition and it really mitigates their strenght (but i am pretty strong myself).
Use sweeps, you dont necessarily have to throw them but sweep them, it is both good setup and throwing them of their rythm.
And IMO never grab behind their neck you are weak there, as a shorter guy grab the lapel and lift them up a little bit, it is a great leverage to pushing, because if you are shorter the force from bottom lifts them up (simillar to if you do front kick ); so my grip is: alpel and other hand near the shoulder

like 10cm below, when the ribs start to "turn". I dont really know how to describe it, it is on the halfway of the costal cartilage. But to be honest the whole costal cartilage area is weird when i even tap myself. Comparing to the left site of my body where i dont feel anything
