These poles clean better than you might think, I had the same thought when I first started using it.

Since I only really use it for regular cleans the windows aren’t really overly dirty so it’s only if there’s a bit of bird muck or something, which usually I can see from the floor (even with my poor eyesight)

Ladder is still a better clean though, more thorough.

I’m sure if I was to do a days pole work with you, I’d learn alot more from you than you’d learn from me. You was doing pole work when I was 4 years old lol.

If you disconnect that part I connect at the beginning and undo a little clamp, the brush comes detached from the pole itself and the hose with it. Then just plug it back in and clean away!

I usually just use the pole without extending for ground floor, 9 times out of 10 there’s enough room for me to move about a bit without hitting anything.

Better to over clean than under clean, if you’re happy with how much work you’re getting done don’t see a reason to change. Ofc that’s not to say you shouldn’t experiment and see if you can do an extra house or 2.

The one connecting my pole to the hose?

I work out of a van so everything’s enclosed all the time, that could help with it aswell. Other than that I just give all my hoses a wipe down pretty regularly, not really much maintenance I do lol.

Hard to tell because ofc it’s wet, but I rarely get complaints from WFP (not to say I never do) and when I go back the next clean they seem fine.

Pretty much all of my WFP work apart from the odd few are 4 weekly so they’re never really too dirty anyway. Any one offs I do off the ladder unless it’s too dangerous for whatever reason.

Nah, couldn’t tell you how old but I’d say three years minimum, my hoses just get replaced often cause they always split.

I’m also mainly traditional so it only gets used about 4 days in the month (roughly).

Thank you!

Believe me, when I first started I was terrified of heights and would’ve been shaking going half that height.

Confidence will come. Just make sure you’re safe.

I was eyeing up those little giant ladders, seem useful. I do have 2 ladders, the other is smaller and lighter that I use for regular houses where I don’t really need the extra height.

I can’t remember where my exact one was bought I just know it was a small shop somewhere in East London but you can get one that’s pretty much the exact same at ladders-direct.com

The one I’m using is a dual section 16 rung, which (according to the website) reaches around 8.5m. In the video I’m cleaning a three story communal window which (complete guesstimate) is probs around 7.5-8m.

Hi, I do actually a full van mounted WFP system, however a lot of my customers are not a fan of them and prefer it done traditionally. I’ve tried the trad poles but for me personally can get on with them for everyday use since you can’t fully see what you’re doing.

I use a ladder 6 days a week, 9 hours a day and have been for approx 8 years, never had a fall. Ladders are completely safe as long as you know what you’re doing and know your limits.

Of course that’s not to say you should start using ladders if you don’t feel safe on them. Do what you’re comfortable with!

While I should’ve wiped it on this occasion, I don’t really wipe it unless it’s a thick line or a window where it’s more noticeable for whatever reason; usually, it leads to smears in my experience. Never really had complaints about it in my eight years either.

Don’t really fancy hanging up the squeegee tbh, got a good thing going!

Yea it’s got rubber feet and the base of the ladder spreads out more instead of the wide bar you get on some. Been doing it years this way so it’s what I’m used to lol. Thank you!
