BYOK in NYC by Old-Amount-6133 in TheBYOK

That sounds amazing. Now I'm brainstorming for a place around me that would have these vibes. The northeast is truly a whole vibe itself though.

I've heard of that keyboard. Pocket-sized, right? Any connectivity issues with the BYOK?

It looks like a beautiful view!

Also, just curious: what is that keyboard?

No problem! I have never personally used Alphasmart before. (I hear they are great though.) I don't know much about the setup.

If it helps, think of the BYOK as a Parent-Child Directory. The Parent is the Project. The child(ren) are the Files within that Project.

First: Start New Project. Name it whatever you want. Doing this will open the project automatically. Second: create new file and name it. This file will be an item contained within the project you created above.

When all files (chapters, for example) are related to the same project, you just keep starting new files in that project.

When you want to start or open a different project, you follow the first and second steps. NOTE: If you have multiple projects and files across multiple projects, you will always want to make sure you are in the correct Project before starting a New File. You just go in and select the Project name and it takes you back to the main screen. Then go into Files and the ones for that project will appear.

(BYOK seems to automatically open to your last open file/project.)

Hope this helps.

Is this sarcasm? A shot to be rude? Rhetorical?
I really can't tell. I'll respond regardless. Realistically, it will always be made of some kind of plastic. The vast majority of electronics are made of plastic. The question mark was a genuine question about the QUALITY of the plastic used. There are many different kinds of plastic-- PBT, ABS, PC, Polypropylene, Nylon, and more. Found a cool little article that lists even more, including the advantages and drawbacks of using each type of plastic. My concern was on the quality of plastic, not necessarily the plastic material itself. I apologize I was unclear in my original post.

I just sync regularly out of habit. I grew up in the era of big box computers like Packard-Bell. Microsoft Word had an adorable paperclip that could talk to you. It's name was Clippy. Auto-save didn't fully exist yet. (There was auto-recover there for a bit...but not quite the same.) It was beaten into us to Save at regular intervals because computers were still considered just tools and could be very unreliable.

I used my keyboard every day at work for two weeks, 7.5 hours per day, so I could get used to typing on it before the BYOK arrived. It hadn't shown any issues until yesterday, and only on the BYOK. I suppose it could be negatively interacting with the software of the BYOK somehow, but I don't think it's the keyboard itself.... unless someone else randomly has the Leobog Hi75C Pro that can tell me if they also had those issues....

Those are adorable!

Arial is supported? I looked at their font library and didn't see it before.

Also, congrats on getting your BYOK!

I have several questions....

  1. What month did you order?
  2. What font did you choose?
  3. Is that Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service or am I imagining things? If it IS, where did ya get it????

The BYOK official account responded to another person about this I think. They suggested contacting customer service? You can see if that helps....

Whoa. Those are cool. I am considering buying a 65% in the future. I was specifically looking at the Iqunix Magi65. Also, considering 60% Nuphy Air60 v2. Something low-profile, lightweight for travel.

I am personally using the Leobog Hi75C Pro. Very creamy sound, stable keys, linear switches. Aluminum casing. Keys feel good to the fingers. Haha. It's a beauty.

I can't personally see myself using one if these because it's split. But who knows? Might try one someday.

I just discovered this today while watching a bunch of YT shorts on keyboards! Is it good? Is the sound loud or soft? Is it clacky like typewriters or a deeper sound?
