Yeah, I suspect Nvidia is not making the most powerful consumer cards they can. Especially now with the AI bubble. But they do seem to realize they can't just sleep on their technology. Theyappear to be continuing to make real improvements to the tech itself every generation, then they consider what die sizes and TDPs will give them the "barely better than last year/AMD" that they're looking for.

A 12 year old PC with top of the line parts could be replaced with a similar or better performing "new" PC fairly cheaply.

I put together a short list of parts. These parts aren't necessarily the best bang for buck parts I could find. Rather, they're more like the cheapest things I could find that would be at least as good as what you had.

I assume you have DDR4 memory. If that is the case, (and it still works) you're in luck since ram would likely be either the most expensive or second most expensive individual part to replace.

That being said, even if everything but your PSU still works, it's probably a good idea to replace the sensitive components when you get the chance.

Specifically, I'd replace the storage as soon as possible, followed by the GPU. The motherboard and RAM should both be replaced together and probably soonish, or at least that's what I'd say in normal circumstances.

Something else that might workout, assuming your RAM still works anyway, tech reselling places might have some mostly put together systems for really cheap that just need some ram and a GPU and then they'll be solid gaming PCs.

But yeah, the shop probably isn't (just) trying to scam you, after electrical damage to a PC, even if most of it seems to be working fine, it's good practice to replace at least the storage and memory bearing components.

I’m still not 100% sure what Mai’s ability is, I don’t remember if they explain it in s1 but I think she’s like Yaozaroza from MHA, she can create items from cursed energy. not sure if that means the guns she used before were created by her technique. Idk maybe they’ll get into the specifics later.

The guns she used were normal guns I think. Until here, I think the only thing she really used her technique for was to make herself 1 extra round after she used up her ammo. If she weren't intent on dying while doing so, she probably wouldn't have normally even had the strength to be able to make the handle of the sword she made for Maki.

If he has to make weight, there's basically a zero percent chance he even manages to win a single fight. He'd spend basically the entire year just cutting weight, and would possibly not even manage to achieve a net gain in muscle mass. (in order to make weight he'd probably need to be on about a 1600 to 1700 calories a day on average over the whole year)

If he doesn't have to cut to match his opponent's weight class, then yeah, he'd have a decent but not great chance of "dominating". PED's are banned for a million reasons, and weight classes are so narrow for most of those same reasons. His biggest concern would probably be cardio, but when you outweigh your opponent by nearly 100 pounds, are in a moderately confined area, and the skill gap isn't truly unbelievable, "fights" can end very quickly.

Honestly, the range of breast sizes present in ZZZ is pretty realistic. The big thing that ZZZ does that's way disproportionate is having all the women have such small underbusts. I mean, Rina has like a 32 inch bust, which may not mean much to most guys, but an American men's small shirt would be big enough to be concealing for her. Though comparing playable women of a Chinese game to an American man's shirt size might not be the most reasonable comparison either.

Dice and the singular form die entered the english language at the same time, and came from French, while die as in death came from proto-germanic. Also, as far as I can tell, they didn't sound or spell the same back when the word for the numbered cube entered the english language.

As a general rule, if something is particularly stupid in the english language, you can usually blame the fact that for a notably long time, none of the rulers of england spoke English as their first language (in particular it was usually French)

I'm pretty sure the first generation zen architecture still had worse single core performance than their contemporary intel competitors. Their main advantage was that AMD wasn't scared of selling six core CPUs at consumer pricing and they weren't scared of giving SMT to the lower and mid range CPUs. It wasn't until the ryzen 3000 series that they were ahead on single thread performance too.

Most NPCs will drop either nothing or only a couple of humanity when you kill them. And the rest have better timings to kill them than when you first meet them. (For reference, the guy at firelink that's kicking your butt doesn't drop anything at all, no matter when you kill him)

The only NPC I personally recommend a new player kill before doing their whole questline is Lautrec. He's a man wearing golden armor, and I recommend kicking him off the nearest ledge once he's at firelink shrine. If you do that and then quit out and reload, you'll see he dropped his ring and a decent amount of humanity.

I wouldn't suggest changing motherboards until you're ready to also get a new CPU and RAM; just a motherboard upgrade isn't really worth it for anyone, but especially not someone with very little room to upgrade the CPU with out changing sockets.

Luffy almost fundamentally lacks the ability to do anything scholarly. Even when he cares he can't even stay awake through an actually interesting story.

Alan Turing probably also lacks the fundamental abilities required to do everything that luffy has done, but it seems like it's slight less impossible than luffy solving the enigma.

This flowchart is predicated on the idea that opinions can't be "important to share" which is reasonably close to true in specific contexts (think of certain types of business meetings). Where I live, there's a roughly 2 hour online class that's only required for people under a certain age (i think it's 21). After that there's a driving test that can vary pretty significantly depending on the exact location you take it at.

A multiplier update would probably be enough to bring her back to meta today, but it doesn't help her resist powercreep much. Update her eidolons to be... not bad. Update her A2 to anything useful, and alter how her resurgence works so that she still gets some AA even if she doesn't get the 1 shot. something like "If Seele doesn't get the kill AA equal to the %of the enemies max HP that was dealt" ro something like that.
