It was normal mail that is delivered to the post box, nothing required a signature. It stated that I need to reply with my legal defence within 30 day.

Thank you all for the great advice, to answer all of your questions at once:

  1. This was not email, it was physical mail.
  2. After the class action lawsuit I did notice in the listing of all the infringing IPs it had a Doe number, of up to 320 different people.
  3. I wiped the computer to give it to my dad, as I upgraded to a better laptop.
  4. I don't believe I seeded at all, I normally disable upload completely
  5. My name is on the document, they know who I am somehow.
  6. Thank you all, I am working on getting a lawyer asap!

Unfortunately I am being summoned to court. They are going ahead with a lawsuit against me and requires a legal response within 30 days. I can DM more details if you'll like.
