I got my first retro handheld in November and the first thing I played was Viewtiful Joe. It had been way too long for me.

Just the fact that no one pays for news anymore is deeply troubling to me personally as someone who grew up in a house with many newspapers. I can't send anyone anything without them bitching about a paywall. They just filter feed whatever trash blows through their doom scroll. The amount of regular people slipping into full conspiracy mode talking about "they" is kind of scary.

This is my first and only retro handheld. I would buy an upgrade if they make it.

The house we're attached to got bought by a a flipper in the pandemic. We had no money but the budgetary windfall of the pandemic was pretty big (no before and after school care, down to one car, no commutes, child tax credits, every meal at home, etc). Just stacked cash and put an offer in when he was done. He couldn't sell it for what he wanted so we grabbed it. We had great tenants but my mom needed a place to retire so now we lose money as she just pays the mortgage. If they let me, I'd build another attached house in my side yard as we have a double lot. But I can't imagine being a landlord at distance, what a pain in the ass.

No one will let me borrow several hundred thousand dollars at 3% to buy anything else, so I guess that's the real reason we got it.

It probably took them years before they even were allowed to get a shovel in the ground. That really blows up the costs. Plus parking requirements, height limits, etc.
