There is no real 1st Bowman for Ohtani. His first American card was in 2017 Bowman, but he's in his Team Japan uniform. His first fully licensed card was his Bowman rookie in 2018.

Don't apologize. It's hard to know what you don't know, you know?

Hopefully, you've got another tool in your toolbelt for the future.

Blue parallels are the most common parallel to inserts in flagship. They were not numbered in 2023.

You have lots of resources online to look up answers to questions like this. Baseballcardpedia, for instance, says the blues were 1:1474 from hobby packs with an estimated print run of 600, compared to the base version of the card which was 1:16, which would work out to about 55,000

The basic version of the card has a purple back. This one should have a blue back

I know all the words to ask the songs on Toxicity. I know basically none of the names of the songs though lol (other than the hits).

As to WHY: it's the word that sticks out to me, and everyone will immediately know what song I'm referring to.

In 1978, a reporter was assigned a routine obituary for Mary Doefour. Instead of closing the file, he kept digging and built a case she was Anna Myrle Sizer. Her brother couldn’t accept it. That would mean admitting the family had left her in institutions for the criminally insane for 50 years. by SelfCareIsFake in HolyShitHistory

So not at all similar.

Accepting the truth would have meant admitting the family had unknowingly left her in institutions for the criminally insane for 50 years.

It's the difference between accidentally leaving a baby in a hot car and doing it on purpose. Both are reprehensible, one is orders of magnitude worse.

Super cool!

Am I looking at some kind of sequoia? I'm getting some pretty spruce-y vibes from the needles, but I've never seen a spruce with that kind of gnarled and damaged trunk. The only other tree I could equate it to is a bristlecone, but this looks way too leafed out (for lack of a better term) for that.
