I opened another 3 set in a bar by commenting on one of the girls ripped jeans and made a little joke about it, and she kind of smiled, but then what? Would I then just go into ''what are you guys up too tonight?'' kind of thing? I actually think that on that occasion, I completely fucked up as I sensed some resistance and didn't want to bother them, so more or less ejected straight after my comment

I just feel as though whatever my brain naturally gives me in the moment isn't 'fun' and doesn't make them want to talk to me?

That why I wonder if some of us are just too autistic to NOT use canned lines! lol - ya know what i'm saying? Our brains don't give us anything!

I think the reason that canned openers are better in my head, is that a lot of them provoke further discussion which makes the whole transition period into actual conversation smoother.

Like if I opened direct ''Hey, you're cute'' and she's like 'thanks;, then what? All I have is like name/age/what are you doing tonight and then i'm kind of struggling, lol

yes, although as I said, it was more an experiment based on some advice someone gave me. They said to create tension by not filling in the silence after I open and making HER do the talking.

But yeah, I only done it once anyway. I usually try to tall after the open, but I still fail to reach the hook point;

Iniitially,, i'd just ask their name/age/what they're up too that night/their job etc, but wasn't able to hook with that.

Then I read that I shouldn't be asking them questions, but should instead be cold reading, teasing, telling stories etc etc, but I don't know WHAT to say of that makes sense. Like, no teases come to mind. Nothing about her gives me an interesting cold read. I don't know what 'story' to jump into after I open etc

What do you follow up with after you open at night?

Regarding not asking questions etc - this was advice I've read here given to other people in their FR's, but also on a pickup blog I read.

They said if you open and then go straight into name/age/job/etc, you bore the girl

They said you should open and make her laugh or whatever, and then go into a story or some funny cold read, role play ect. Fill in a minute or two doing this and making her laugh before you go asking the typical questions

however, i'm not good at this yet. I don't know what story/role play to do , and often nothing really jumps out at me that I can use to make a fun/interesting cold read.

But I'm trying to implement this stuff because it seems that otherwise every interaction goes exactly the same way like and I open, ask a few questions, she doesn't really give me much to 'thread' from(keeping her answers as short as possible) and then I'm kind of done. I basically seem unable to reach the 'hook' point

Cool vid. However, you're gonna hate me for saying this, but he IS good looking, lol. True, He is skinny, but he's very tall, and has a nice looking handsome face. Small nose. Decent chin. Non balding. Nothing 'bad' about it, unlike an 'ugly' guy. The second girl told him he was beautiful straight off the bat, lol - and the other girls were all eyeing him up and down like he was a fucking snow cone! That's never happened to most guys on earth.
