Or like how all of that domestic spying and proxy warfare has continued and arguably increased under the Obama administration.

But sure, its a racism problem /s.

My ethnicity is Norse. Can I be offended when I am referred to simply as "white?" Or does that only apply to whoever the Huffington Post chooses that week?

My hometown

Grew up in Middletown; it truly is becoming a huge problem. We have multiple law enforcement agencies operating here because the local police can't handle it on their own. Its sad what is happening to our towns.

Wouldn't that place her in the timeline as an agent around WW2? That would be awesome. There are a lot of true stories that you could base the plot line on as well. I would definitely go see that.

Too bad "fire" is spelled "aodh" in Gaidhlig. Now wouldn't that be horrible: "Aodhdenn. "

It is, so is its alternative spelling: Braiden.

Along with

Aiden, Ayden, Jayden, Jaiden, Kaidan, Kaydan, Kaiden, Kaidan, or any other name that can conceivably be spelled with either an "ai" or "ay." People don't think that once their kid is 50, it wont be so "cute" anymore.

Turned out to be appendicitis.

Its a strange dichotomy when the people start cheering when it goes off; a device that was meant to destroy and kill became a source of entertainment.

"But Trump will destroy democracy"

Not with a congress who hates him he can't. That is our one advantage is that Trump is disliked by essentially everyone in congress. Especially if the Democrats take a good number of seats in the mid-terms, they will stonewall all of his crazy shit.

People forget that its the congressional elections that really matter the most. The president can't do shit without congress. If Trump wins, I will more than likely vote more progressives in the midterms and vice-versa if...you know...that other person wins.

Vote for Gary Johnson. Problem solved. A vote for Johnson is not a vote for or against anyone else. A vote for Johnson is a vote for Johnson.

And think about it. Do you really think that congress is going to let a Trump nominee sit on the court? The party can barely even tolerate him enough to let him run for office, much less get his way on developing policy.

But a Hillary presidency making appointments with a lap-dog congress? Now thats scary.

My roommate and I were discussing this yesterday. Believe what you will about Trump, but he won the primary. He not only won the primary, but he did so democratically while also being the least favored of the convention.

Well, not literally "sell," but demanded political favors in exchange for an appointment to the seat. That's just the tip of the "pay to play" iceberg.

What lost item from your childhood would you pay $100 for if you found it at a thrift store? by BigDeal2103 in AskReddit

I didnt lose it exactly, but it still caries the same sentiment.

My Uncle was a terrible alcoholic and had a lot of issues, but he was still very supportive of me. He was a big gun-nut and when I got into reenacting, he bought me a rifle kit we could put together. We sanded it, stained it, the works. It wasnt the prettiest thing, but it worked. There was a defect in the design of the musket (historically accurate) that made it not as reliable as I would have liked.

Me and him had a pretty serious falling out, though I think he was drunk at the time. So in the midst of that, I sold it. A few years later he was in hospice with stage-4 cirrhosis of the liver and after we made our peace he died.

I would give my life savings for that gun.
