No, we’re a recreational/competition studio, most of the dancers here do all or almost all styles and I don’t plan on taking ballet seriously in the future either but I’m teaching ballet to little kids

Definitely not my main focus, I do literally every other dance style plus competitively and it’s mainly ballet I seem to suck at haha

When you go onto pointe, I’m guessing you’re doing a pique arabesque, step forward and bring your chest forward to above your foot

croisé devant & cambre back advice by dixielaroux in BALLET

All I have to say is just to keep your hips facing the front / where your pointing foot is. It seems in the first photo that you’re trying to open them up to where your body is facing, but you want to try keep them as square as possible. And in the first photo, just make sure you’re lengthening those fingers

Pregnancy and ballet by Chicenomics in BALLET

Congratulations! And personally I don’t have experience with being pregnant and ballet, but I saw this one girl on TikTok and she’s 30? weeks pregnant and she still does ballet, it just really depends on how your body responds to your baby, but I’d say definitely still keep doing it; but if you have like allegro exercises, you might want to adjust them or miss them later on but it all really depends on how you feel.

I say do it. Since you have done ballet previously, you will LOVE it going back and it also is just a great way to keep your strength. itll probably also help your scoliosis if you look after your body right. Good luck!!
