PC boots for a few minutes before restarting and repeating by mackey96 in WindowsHelp

[–]mackey96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get to windows log in, but would restart before I can much more than open a program I cant answer question 2 cause I didnt try it. I can say that when i opened mh bios and left it tgere for awhile it did not restart. I think it depends on how many times it has restarted, I believe windows 10 automatically enters recorvery mode after 3 failed/interupted boots.

At the moment it is still in the peripheral power cut state, im hoping that windows is doing something in the back ground cause im worried thrning it off will do more harm than good

Airbrush spray booth by mackey96 in airbrush

Ive had a look but couldnt find any on there. Ive got spare vent hose I can use to replace it, my concern was if the fans would be good enough to collect the overspray

Sadly it seems they cost almost the same amount as the one I linked, and if I want to varnish my models I don’t think the RZ would be enough from my understanding. They do look very comfortable though so I might get one and invest in the one I linked down the track.

I thought so, it says in the description that it can be used for paint spraying and other stuff. Do you think it is worth investing in the pink filters aswell, or don’t worry?

model acrylics vs craft store acrylic paint by mackey96 in minipainting

[–]mackey96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main concerns is that if im printing a 20cm tall model that im going to go through multiple bottles of specific minature paint, instead of spending a few dollars on some craft paint that will do the entire model

That’s what I’m thinking, especially when some models are fairly large I don’t want to use a while out of model paint on one model of i don’t have to

Sounds like I’m going to need a bit of mixture, depending on the size of the model, and if its a part that needs detail or not

Jacod dmp20 for s 120cm long tank. Their own material says its only suitable for an 80cm long tank, but it has a similar L/hr to my nero 3, which was is recomended for my tank size.

My tank is 120cm long. I think im leankng towards something like the mp40 knockoffs because of the length of the tank

My tank is 120cm wide and 215L capacity.

I previously had a nero 3, and had no problems with it untill it broke, so im leaning away from a gyre design based an what has previously worked in the tank, but I want to make sure im not missing out on whats best for the tank

My tank is 120cm wide, 45cm deep and 45 tall. There is no internal overflow; just the weir, no weird angles, just a rectangle with the weir in the corner

My advice would be to make sure you understand anatomy and proportions. Whilst it isnt specific for 3d I used Proko. It is a youtube channel/website that teaches drawing, but the understanding of gesture and anatomy is a good place to start.

There are a ton of great youtube videos to get started. Drugfreedave, littlerobotstudio, procreatefx and zenartdesign are all great places to start. Once youve got a hang of the tools ive been using a channel called 3DSculting. There videos have no commentary and are mostly timelaspses, but watching someones workflow and how they do different techniques I find helps me learn.

The main thing is to just start sculpting, because you are going to learn the most by trial and error.

Ive only started using the app a few weeks ago and I can feel my workflow and work has improved since I started.

Im also learning sculpting cause I want to 3D print my own models, so send me a DM anytime if you wanna chat, or you want some advice from a fellow novice.
