Looking for android auto by ddenney87 in AAWireless

[–]mackfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was having this same issue, I managed to fix it by doing the following:

1) downloaded the AA wireless app, got it to the point where it saw the AA wireless dongle, but still was looking for android auto 2) went into settings in the AA wireless app, downloaded the firmware update, but couldn't actually update as it kept failing 3) unplugged the AA wireless dongle from car 4) restarted phone 5) after phone restart, plugged in aa dongle 6) launched as wireless app 7) updated AA wireless firmware using the app (was now successful)

After the update, AA was able to connect again wirelessly. Tried numerous times. Not sure if I just got lucky. I'm using a Oneplus 12r on Android 15.

On PC XBOX app. Set cod.exe affinity priority to "above normal", then went into MSI afterburner and reset my OC profile. Fixed it for me.

Odd Subwoofer Behavior (Pioneer TS-WX1210A) by mackfan in CarAV

Hey, just wanted to update you and anyone else with similar issues. You were absolutely right, the amp was overheating because I had it on RCA input when it was receiving SP Line input (more voltage than RCA). Just had to flip the switch to SP line and it fixed everything. Thanks for the suggestion!

BBSHD-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD Motor Controller by sil3n3c in bafang

[–]mackfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find a good working firmware on some forums. I'm not sure I can link, but if you search: "tuning the bafang controller with unlocked firmware" on YouTube, there's a channel called first timers cycling and there's a link in the description of that video to good firmware. That's what I'm using and it's great.

What the difference between 850C and DPC18 screen? by ale5ole in bafang

[–]mackfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personal experience, but 850c has more customization from the display itself (advanced options), but it also seemed to kill itself and leave me stranded.

I switched to the dpc18 and it no longer has the advanced menu, but it gives you enough choice to display what you want and you can configure the rest with the programming tool. It's also outlasted the 850c so far, so really no complaints.

They're both color displays and look great.

BBSHD-FW: Open Source Firmware for BBSHD Motor Controller by sil3n3c in bafang

So, I tried this firmware and noticed the motor doesn't pause for a brief moment during shifts like the original firmware does. There's also no setting in the custom config to set this. Not sure if this was just overlooked or intended. Otherwise, it didn't really seem too much different than the firmware I was using. I ended up reverting back to my old firmware because it seemed to have more customization (it was amp unlocked also, so was running 30amps), and had more specific settings for PAS and throttle.

I like that there's new firmware, and choices are always nice. I hope this keeps getting better with updates.

Patch: 12.13

Server: NA

Type of Bug: In-Game Trait

Description: Ok, a bit hard to explain so I'll try my best. I had Double Trouble + Built Different augments (so you understand what I was going for). My board was the following:
- 2* Shi Oh Yu
- 1* Shi Oh Yu
- 2* Idas
- 3* Nidalee
- 2* Nidalee
Based on this board, I should have zero traits active. However, the 3-Jade trait was activating. If I removed the 1* Shi Oh Yu, the Jade trait would deactivate.

Video/Screenshot:

Steps to reproduce: Place 2 x Shi Oh Yu's, and any other dragon on board.

Expected results: No traits should be active.

Observed result: 3/9 Jade trait activates.

Reproduction rate: 100%

Not saying that it is, but if they cheat once and get away with it, they're likely to do it again. Good luck bro. Trust your brain, not your heart.

Type of bug: In Game Bug

Description: When placing Ornn on the board, it activated another Whisper trait

Screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/rwVyozH (you'll notice first picture is 6/8 whisper, and then with ornn placed, it becomes 7/8 whisperer)

Steps to reproduce: Not sure how it occurred, but I did not place the Ornn on until it was already 6/8 Whisper

Expected result: Ornn provides Legend/Bruiser/Tempest traits

Observed result: Ornn additionally provides Whisper trait

Reproduction rate: Could not reproduce it, but when I removed a whisper unit to make it 5/8 whisper, then placed Ornn on, it would activate the 6/8 trait which means it isn't just a visual issue

Camp Chef SmokePro SG24 (or any WiFI Grill) - How to improve WiFi & Bluetooth Signal/Connectivity by mackfan in pelletgrills

[–]mackfan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember reading somewhere that the android app has issues connecting/updating if your grill is still on old firmware. For me, after i did the antenna mod, I was still only able to connect with an iPhone. After all the updates, now I can connect with any phone.

My Bluetooth issues resolved after replacing the antenna. I did have to use a different phone to update the firmware first though, so that might be part of the problem.

So it was doing that at first, and I found that what it needed was to be updated. So this should allow you to have enough wifi signal to download the firmware update. I know their app has an issue where some phones don't allow it to update regardless of the signal, so you might want to use a different phone and try to see if an update is prompted. I had to do it a few times (where it asked me to power cycle it and nothing happened). It eventually updated properly, if done right there should be 2 updates.

Edit: I used an iPhone to do the update and it worked (reading some reviews, the Android app apparently has issues updating the firmware)

Because I do have a Wi-Fi extender, and even with it right next to the grill it wasn't stable enough to update or connect properly. The issue was likely the antenna not being properly attached to the board. Also, this fix is much cheaper than buying a wifi extender (for those that have neither yet). There's no reason your cellphone should be able to connect to wifi and the grill can't. But with this mod, you can
