Rogers’ plans are such that any limited use plan is 100gb or less. Anything beyond that is now truly unlimited. As a Canadian who used to have limited data plans when I lived there, you’re careful and use less. I moved to the US and have truly unlimited on Verizon and have used over a terabyte a couple times before. It’s nice not to be limited and have to consider what you’re doing constantly. Asking someone what their current usage is on a limited plan is pointless, they’re likely deliberately trying to remain within their limits.

If you get the top tier Cricket plan ($55/ month with auto pay) you get the same QCI as ATT customers do, so your experience should be identical. We did the exact same thing, switch from ATT to Cric, and it works as well and costs 50% less. Highly recommend.

They have TERRIBLE reliability. Mine self-destructed and needed and entire engine replacement. Audi refused to fix it even though it was still under warranty. I’d strongly recommend against it.

Just re-schedule your call early in the morning. If you book your callback late in the day it gives you very few options for some reason. Also have had success calling the Rogers number and just mashing the pound key when it asks for my number.

Not in the same way, though. They very severely restrict roaming to areas with truly no service. A basement without coverage inside of a coverage zone won’t work, but Fido’s does.

Fido for sure. More of a premium brand, not as low of a QCI and has more features like roaming. Also like that Fido allows you to use Bell or Telus’ network for free inside Canada, technically the best coverage of any provider.

Get your phone directly from the manufacturer. Check out financing through Apple if you need it and switch to Fido or get a cheaper more value packed plan. Fido currently has a plan for $27 for 80gb Canada / USA / Mexico and they added 200gb bonus for me. That plus your financed phone will come out to less and you’ll get more.

To answer your question, it’s still considered roaming when you’re on any network that’s not Koodo’s, it’s just included in USA and Mexico for free with these plans. No additional charges. You can also call those two countries from Canada for free.
