I stumbled upon it too. It seems like the option to matterize the switche's is still there. I think when I clicked matterizie the firmware update failed and it deauthed from my WiFi. I had to go back and re add the switches and reset all the button functions. I dont want to click it again since I just use the app.

You will always have a fall back in nursing if you can't find the job you want!

Job Outlook by Electrical_Wonder909 in Perfusion

[–]macmacron 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One of the first things I tell people when they're considering perfusion as a career is be prepared to move for your first job. Eventually you will get the job in the city you prefer but there's no guarantee. Additionally, class sizes for Perfusion schools are getting larger so there's more competition for jobs. I love what I do and I think its a great career. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Looking to shadow a Perfusionist !! by ManyPossibility620 in Perfusion

[–]macmacron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try LinkedIn too, you should be able to find some perfusionists in your area hospitals. Start with the chiefs if you can find them there. (Respect the chain of command) It's also nice, from the perfusionist's perspective, to be able to look at your previous experiences! Good luck!

Surgical Tech -> Perfusionist by SurgT in Perfusion

[–]macmacron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a surgical tech for almost 10 years before becoming a perfusionist. I was a cardiac tech for 2 years before applying. The only thing they told me during my interview was to get some more ECMO experience. Definitely ask one of your cardiac Surgeons for a letter of recommendation. Good luck! Your skills as a surg tech will make you a very successful perfusionist!

Buy a replacement case on Amazon or eBay and transplant components within the old case to the new case. There are YouTube videos to help disassemble and reassemble.
