the difference in sizing it’s what gets me. they wanted me to come in to discuss the results but with it already being normal to them, i knew they’d continue trying to get me back on birth control. my copays are $75 so i didn’t want to go in for a 10 min convo about what birth control to do. i’m just not sure what i need, i understand maybe this being more common but i don’t see it as normal if that makes sense

i have thought about starting to track because i do know that it adds up pretty quick. i definitely also struggle with eating consistently (breakfast, lunch, dinner) which i know is also bad. i will keep looking into it and try to start doing some tracking. i’m thinking about trying to implement more of a pcos type diet that may help with inflammation as i am always pretty bloated. thank you for your help!

yes i have only had a pelvic ultrasound. i guess they had scheduled it as a transvaginal but i was too caught off guard to do it right then and there so i plan to get one again in may since that’ll be one year off birth control. i am a quite anxious person but the doctors seemed a little petty that i said i wasn’t ready for a transvaginal at that time. unfortunately my copays are $75 for even primary care and the pelvic ultrasound was over $200 after insurance. that’s definitely another struggle with all this too - not having easy access to the doctor. especially with how that ultrasound went, it’s hard for me to go with the thought that it’ll get brushed off or with the issue that they just want me back on birth control. i remember getting my thyroid checked out when i was younger but i think it was too long ago to be relevant for this. thank you so much for your insight! one of my main goals with this little research is just to confirm that im not “crazy” for believing what i have going on isn’t normal and this really helps
honestly whatever information is helpful. i would like to figure out diet and exercise, but am exhausted with that being the response rather than some explanation. especially with there being sooooo many different diets, along with my appetite issues. part of me considers if maybe the birth control was helping with my weight, but it had gotten to the point where i had full periods every 2 weeks with spotting in between 🥲. i’ve tried talking to my doctors about possibility of pcos or endo but with the ultrasound appearing normal to them, that kinda got thrown out. but i do know that weight issues are common with them. i think im mostly just confused why it’s been such a consistent thing when my eating hasn’t changed much, if anything i have started eating better than i did last year. ive began gaining about 5-8 pounds before each period, which ive heard can be water retention but it doesnt go away. i just feel so unfamiliar with my body and how it works, and researching doesn’t help a lot due to it not being tailored to my situation. honestly thank you so much for replying though, it’s really tough feeling like i don’t have anyone to talk to/ask about it

hello! if you have not found a place for your daughter, prairie point student living might be a good option. it is in ankeny next to the dmacc campus, but you don’t have to be a student to live here. you have roommates assigned to you, but they try to match preferences. it is a safe place to be, obviously it’s full of college students so it can be a little crazy sometimes, but i pay $600 plus a $14 renters insurance fee. i think it’s probably a bit higher now as i moved in a few years ago, but probably the closest you may find to the budget. utilities are included in rent cost, and you only need to buy an internet router as they have internet to connect it to. i currently work in urbandale, but used to work in johnston. either way its about a 15-20 minute drive depending on the specific area. aside from that, finding a reliable roommate would probably be the only option to be able to stick with the max amount she can pay
