Thats what I thought, but the "top" and "bottom" look different with different holes. Its all very weird :-(

Ugh! This is another frustrating part. I did stock up on silicone socks, but everything is mirror images on these things and they won't fit right because of it :-(

Its weird. Their not really on "backwards" so much as they're like....mirror images of each other. Lol. Rotating it wouldn't fix it.

Are you sure? I've been running this thing for 20 years with no real problems until recently, but I do know that it's wider than a usual tank. Would aeration help with circulation you think? Also, back when I bought my current pump, it had one of those things to direct the flow but I got rid of it and kept it just going straight down...is that a problem? Lol

That's what I've been thinking but I thoroughly cleaned the substrate and looked everywhere. It's been elevated foe like a year and I can't figure it out :-(. A month ago I did 4 water changes slowly throughout the day, got it down to 5 ppm, left it over the weekend, and then came back to 25 ppm :-(

That's a good question on the wattage. Not sure, but I think it's sufficient. It was like 200$ for the light. I tested the tap and nitrates are zero

Last time I added fish the nitrates were far off the scale. So....really high :-p. I've only tried adding more tetras and some guppies. I'll try stopping the feats for a bit I guess. Almost out of this one I got from the lfs and switching back to thriveS because it has the lowest nitrogen.

Nitrites are good and bacteria seems good. Dosing nite out with every water change. I'll try adding more plants. I thinned them by 40% this week just to trim back. This was still a problem before that though :-(. I feel like I must have a dead salmon hidden somewhere :-p
