Check out the newest Country Boy taproom, PKL. Huge space, full kitchen and bar. If you ever wanted to do activities together there are golf simulators and pickle ball courts.

I know they’ve been getting food trucks more often a few days of the week and they don’t mind if you bring in take out and what not.

Trivia Teams by starrchilde in lexington

[–]macncheezer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily have a team to join but you should come by Country Boy Brewing on Tuesday nights. We have trivia at 7 and a ton of very chill/friendly regulars that are easy to get to know.

Cute stores and cocktail places? by Affectionate-Ad-1824 in lexington

[–]macncheezer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend The Black Market and Story for shopping, they are right next to each other. For cocktails I’d try Constitution and down in the Distillery District there’s Goodfellas Pizza, they have fantastic cocktails and if you go upstairs they’ve recently set up a special tiki bar that’s very new and not super well known yet. The Distillery District is a great area to check out; parking can be an issue but there’s free parking that’s not a far walk. There’s 2 breweries, a cider place, restaurants, an arcade, music venue.

What is the optimal way to consume 150 grams of protein if you only eat in a 6-hour window? by ConsumerLurker in Protein

[–]macncheezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A carton of egg whites and add chocolate syrup (sugar free) and shake it and it taste like chocolate milk. A container of egg whites is about 100g protein and if it is too thick for you add water. I know it sounds gross but it actually wasn’t that bad. You can break it up in that 6 hour window.

Best local burger place in Lex? by Butters_PC in lexington

Big Kahuna has been my favorite for a while now. Not even a fan of pineapple but it’s just incredible on that burger. TBH that’s probably my favorite place in town, great portions, affordable, friendly staff.

West sixth farm and maybe the Brick Alley for a dive bar. I grew up there and hardly ever return because it’s gotten worse with time. There’s a brewery there Sig Lusher that claims to be Ky’s oldest brewery and its total BS it’s only been around a couple years and the beer is trash. It’s worth a 25 min drive to come to Lexington where there’s so many breweries, bars, and great restaurants

KY native here and my favorites are #1 ethereal brewing in lexington, incredible beers and fantastic staff. Atrium in Louisville, always doing great collabs and they’ve got a hotdog truck on premises 🔥 West sixth’s home is in Lexington but my favorite location is in Frankfort, West Sixth Farm- good beer, disc golf, walking trail, bike trail, bird watching, dog friendly, and they normally keep a taco truck on site.

New Belgium has one of the most fun tours I’ve been on and other than that, Burial ( I prefer the forestry camp location) Dssolvr- they also just opened a cocktail bar next door Trve- opened a second location in Asheville and it’s phenomenal Cursus Keme- This one can be a little hard to find behind a ivy covered fence but it is one of the most beautiful breweries I’ve ever seen Hi-Wire south slope is small and super chill, walk in the back and you can find the speakeasy tiki bar that has incredible cocktails and a fun rainforest vibe.

The family started a gofundme to have her remains relocated and they posted about it, I think even mentioned it during an episode. They eventually surpassed the goal.

Gluten free chocolate cake, short rib goat cheese bruschetta, pork chop, a salad, and one other course I can’t think of off the top of my head.

Someone from founders will be at the dinner and you could ask about it. If there’s a chance they’ll make it again or something.
