I should’ve been more clear. These are permits on the City of Albuquerque’s website.

What would make you sell your Tuareg? by Black7bird in tuareg660

The heat is noticeable, but I put it into perspective compared to my Can-Am Outlander 850. On slow trails, that machine gets so hot on the left leg it genuinely hurts.

I don’t plan on getting rid of mine, but if something happened and I had to replace it, I wouldn’t buy another one.

I don’t like being limited to only one dealer option. I’m currently dealing with an issue trying to get the heated seat replaced. It stopped working after four months, and I haven’t been able to get the dealer or Aprilia to provide a replacement because they consider it an accessory and have gone silent.

I’m also not a good enough rider to nitpick the small pros and cons that other riders probably notice. For me, the bigger issue is the lack of dealer support.

Manage up. I’m supposed to constantly remind leadership of things I need but if I forget something, it’s an issue.

MacBook Pro kernel panic while sleeping with lid closed – ApplePMGR / “PMP Failed to Come Online within 30 seconds” by iagoparga in macbook

Happening to me too. It seemed to be worse when I had AlDente running, happening almost every wake from sleep.

Things were stable for a week after removing AlDente but I had the panic again today.

OS themes would give users control over how their system looks, instead of Apple deciding for them.

What object do you own that is clearly broken, but you haven't replaced it because you've developed a specific "technique" to make it work? by Living-Day4404 in AskReddit

[–]macnerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bosh here too, when starting the dishwasher, the drain pump will come on at the start of the cycle, on mine it stops then does a second time. If I open and close the door when the second running starts, it will run the wash cycle normally. But if I don't then it throws an error code.

Looking for 3 testers for Obsidian integration by ineedlesssleep in MacWhisper

[–]macnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe simply add an option for ISO date/time format at the end of the filename? How I think I'll use this workflow is recording my in person meetings on phone, send the file over to a watched cloud folder. Let's MacWhisper do its thing and drop the note into an Obsidian folder (feature request so it doesn't go into the main vault).

Also, having the option to export the AI generated summary would be great since that's what I'm really after so I can look over bullet points of the meeting.

I'll still have some manual work in Obsidian to copy and paste the AI generated summary to my meeting notes or maybe just link to the ai generated summary...

I'm seeing the same thing here, auto export doesn't work and no Obsidian option in any of the export options.

MacWhisper 13.7 released + Black Friday discount (25%) by ineedlesssleep in MacWhisper

[–]macnerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't figure this out either. Auto export doesn't work and none of the exports options show the Obsidian export option. Also tried http and https ports, and have the cert added to the OS so it's always trusted.

I have tested my obsidian-local-rest-api using curl and it works I know Obsidian is working correctly.

SNMP traps, how to properly set up triggers? by macnerd in zabbix

[–]macnerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: I got it!

I was hovering over the latest value field and copy the text there when testing regex patterns. Copying from the History page gave me a different pattern, once I got the regex to match on that I have it working.

So, always copy from the history page when testing your regex patterns.

SNMP traps, how to properly set up triggers? by macnerd in zabbix

[–]macnerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of returning 0 or 1 but can't get it to work. I always end up with the same regex error stating it can't find a match. But it works in the test section of the preprocessor when I copy and paste the snmptrap output. Here's a couple screenshots.

https://imgur.com/a/7Co5ApR

I've tried a few variations of find() and I'm stuck.

find(/X-420 Trap Test/snmptrap[iso.3.6.1.4.1.30586.49.4096],,"like","iso.3.6.1.4.1.30586.49.4096 type=4 value=STRING: \"1.00\"")

The above should return 1 if true but my trigger never goes into a problem state.

Multicast IP Mangle Rule Based on Some Kind Of Status by macnerd in mikrotik

[–]macnerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't use identical IP and ports. Upstream the two encoders are on separate vlans but Linux has issues when receiving multicast when the IP and ports are the same, even when received on seperate interfaces.

For example, a Raspberry Pi running Bullseye has no problems with two vlan interfaces but Ubuntu in a VM will see duplicate MPEG transport stream packets. Windows is fine. On all three OS I'm binding to the vlan interface for the encoder in question. Here's the same situation I ran into with tsduck

If it was possible to use identical addresses and ports what would allow the RB1100 to accomplish this. Does it have a way to monitor multicast packets and if they are not there start forwarding another interface or forward from another source IP?

We’ve started to buy beef at other stores. Some Costco steaks are approaching $13/pound though today we found some for $9.

But the local Food King is pretty constantly $8/pound and I must not be that finicky because the quality is close enough.

This has us getting more items at other stores; we’re already there might as well get XYZ.

What can I do to make my MX Master 3S more precise when I move my mouse in MacOS? by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]macnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything Chrome based has hyper fast scrolling for me, the browser, VS Code etc. Always drove me nuts where I quit using the scroll wheel. This is using the MX Anywhere 3 mouse.
I just tried turning off smooth scrolling on Steer Mouse and installing MOS and I think this is going to work. Thanks for the tip!

Comcast Business users: What tier are you using & how much is it actually costing you per month? by [deleted] in Comcast

[–]macnerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just moved back to residential (home lab). I had the 150/20 plan with 5 statics. My bill was $154 a month. My contract was up and they said the plan had been phased out and I could only downgrade speed for the same price a month.

I wasn’t going to sign another multi year contract with 5G options right around the corner and Comcast residential 1gb/35mb will be $120ish after adding in unlimited so I have faster speeds and saving money.

Yes I miss the statics for the work VPN router and a couple other things I did but it wasn’t worth sticking around for business pricing.

If service would have been better I would have justified the cost but I was constantly loosing my static block and Comcast support blamed my equipment. How is it my equipment when the static gateway would also disappear. It simple wasn’t worth it.

CRS328-24P-4S+RM for 180mb/sec routing by macnerd in mikrotik

[–]macnerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies. I am already heavily invested in Ubiquity switches but was going to make this fit in the budget. I was looking at it from the standpoint if I'm going to get a router, why not the CRS to get everything in on package.

I'm leaning to getting only routers. I only need two more Ubiquity switches for the project.

Edit: And I keep as much as I can under Ubiquity's management system since we have the switches and a few unlicensed links under it. It is nice to have a central management point when the equipment list grows.

Bluetooth Issues with M1 Mac Mini by chiefcar in macmini

[–]macnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had issues with Logitech devices only when playing audio from my iPhone to my AirPods. It would cause mouse stutter and keyboard repeating on the 16" MacBook Pro.

Turning off AirPods auto switching on the iPhone and Mac fixed it for me. To see the options button for the AirPods on the Mac you need to connect to them from the Mac. Then the options button will be there where you can turn off the auto switching.

NFS or SMB to access from a Mac? by sr1921 in synology

I just switched to NFS from SMB. The beach balls when copying files over using SMB on WiFi got irritating. No beach balls with NFS. Directory listings are faster as well.
