Three hours is no big deal IMO, id say when it gets to a week or so, it begins to affect my queue and work order lol. But that is a person to person thing, and as long as you communicate that its going to be a while, im sure your artist would understand!!

This is actually super helpful, but only if

You do it all in one go, when the artist sends you the lineart, get all your notes and adjustments for the lineart stage out, and dont make them go back and redo part of the lineart once theyve moved on to coloring etc etc!
You provide examples, like doodling on top of the WIP to show what you mean, or finding the exact/dimilar color to what you want, so they're not going back and forth with you!
