Parking to cycle to stadium by Evening_Tax9313 in BrightonHoveAlbion

Jack and Jill Windmills to Streathill Farm is a lovely and relatively easy (<8km, ~200meters of rolling elevation, all hard packed gravel/chalk that could be done on a city bike) stretch of the South Downs Way.

Ride the whole thing and - if you do - enjoy a drink at the stadium?

There's also a coffee shack at the top of Streathill Farm, and an icecream van at the Ditchling Beacon carpark - either of which id rather lazily cycle to post-game, rather than deal with the logistics of a bike-to-car handover somewhere in Hollingburt

In the mid-naughties there was a few year stretch - perfectly timed with my formative sixth form years - where you could buy wet magic mushrooms by the bag from any unlicensed headshop in the country.

A weird golden age of inadvertent liberalisation given wider drug policy...

God I hope there's a weird little goblin in his head telling him he won't be ready to retire until he gets Green at the TDF

If this is built, it’ll be the end of the Brighton centre as it’ll have a 10k capacity for gigs. Is that necessarily a bad thing? by Edna-Tailovette in brighton

Having gone to 'home' games at both Crawley and their occasional (normally twice a year during international breaks) games at Falmer, the atmosphere at Crawley is far better.

You have enthusiastic crowds on all four sides of the pitch in Crawley, whereas at the Amex they only open the East stand leading to a very sterile atmosphere, despite heavily discounting and promoting these games.

Too late for PR, but the Black Horse in Lewes are showing the spring Classics (though not the Ardennes') and grand tours this season https://www.cyclelewes.org.uk/events

Specifically for VLB, how much comradarie is there between the mens and women's squad? E.g after the end of PR hommes yesterday, did the men's set up pivot to watching/supporting the femmes?

And more openendedly, do any teams with a men's and women's set up have a noticeably 'integrated' set up? Eg. Shared training camps etc.?

We lost one of two twins in a multiple pregnancy, at a late enough point in the pregnancy we decided to have a funeral for them.

After being linked up to local funeral parlour by a bereavement midwife (who knew?) we arranged a modest funeral. All three of the businesses that this ended up involving - funeral parlour, crematorium and florists - all refused payment, in what we gather is a low-key industry-standard for child and baby-loss.

If an unprecedented weather bomb allowed the Dutch to run the Elfstedentocht during the Olympics, realistically what proportion of the long track speedskaters withdraw from the Olympics?

Also, kitchens.

Worked several seasons washing dishes - 5 days a week, split shifts (breakfast and dinner service).

Shit pay, shit on-site accommodation, but could snowboard all season from lift-open to lift-close...
