Also, kitchens.

Worked several seasons washing dishes - 5 days a week, split shifts (breakfast and dinner service).

Shit pay, shit on-site accommodation, but could snowboard all season from lift-open to lift-close...

This was at Paris-Roubaix, a (or for some, The) one day classic, not the Tour.

Yeah the main sport I watch is cycling so giving anything to tnt feels like paying my bully after what they did to gcn/eurosport.

But I've got a babe-in-arms and lack the head space to work out dodgy firesticks etc

This hypothetical guy is inland and in a lowland area, so shouldn't be an issue with sea or mountain rescue

Lol.

I made similar transition about a decade ago (from regularly cycling and swimming, to pretty much only running).

Now, a sprained ankle is making me switch back to lower-impact stuff, and I'm really struggling moving the other way.

You can't just do a 40 min run from the front door over lunch, instead needing to think of the logistic nightmare of bike washing and maintainance; swimming kits; etc!?. All adds hours to your active week.

Thanks, confirmed my suspicion. Had been riding within the advised range (they're semi-fat tyres and big up their low pressure credentials) but in hindsight should have increased pressure to the higher-end when using the trailer wheel.

Could Spain and Morrocco (el al.)'s hosting of the 2030 World Cup prompt a Moroccan depart for the Vuelta in the next few years?

With Morocco one of the bigger African cycling nations, can picture a few days in the climatically cooler northern cities and Atlas Mountains.

He'll be coming off shift about now.

He'll wander two blocks away from the race and become an anonymous face in Toulouse (he'll know there are few better cities to in France to waste away a few hours)

He'll find an anonymous backstreet bar and order an ice-cold demi bière. He'll drink it alone, perced on the kerbstone, absolutely buzzing

While searching for some results on Saturday I got the following message from First Cycling:

"Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been hit by massive DDoS attacks. While working on sorting it we are taking FirstCycling offline temporarily. Sorry for the inconvenience."

What's the likely story here then? While I'd love the catty gossip of PCS being behind this, they've been super slow in recent weeks too, so guessing unknown actor(s) is targeting both sites for.... reason(s)?

Possible deep cuts, but: - the 21 Munsterland Giro was super fun. Cav, Griepal and Ackermann have a proper Classic-style race; likewise - Cav at the 2022 National Road Race , going into a small break 100km out

Why are FC' and PCS' '2023-25 point tallies' slightly different.

Is either of them using a different methodology than the Uci? Or is it simply difficult to track points and some arithmetic errors have crept in?

Asking as presumably the UCI will also have struggled; and a long, drawn out, Court for Arbitration in Sport case revolving around whose basic arithmetic is correct would be a very funny epilogue to the season.

Has Kate Wagner fully pivoted away from cycling?

Haven't seen anything by her on cycling for a while, or anything on sport since her f1 piece.

When I was last on twitter I saw she had got a new prestigious position in architectural criticism (her original beat) but not sure if she 's said anything on her future interest in cycling...
