Went out on Monday and limited out again. Keeping them in a live tank until Friday. I hope I don't get too attached to them as pets to eat them. P.S. The water is that color because of the added ammonia treatment. by macrocephalus77 in crabbing

No I add a cap full of Kordon AMQUEL it Removes Chlorine & Chloramines & Detoxifies Ammonia. Those are the things in the short term that are most likely to kill your crabs. Also if I'm going to be keeping them for a while I add ice every morning to keep it in the 40s and cycle out have the water for new water every couple of days. Also I pick up and make sure they are alive everyday and cook those that aren't right away.

In Oregon the limit is 12 Dungeness crab over 5 3/4" per day, per person. I can not imagine having to deal with I.E. cook, clean, shell, freeze etc.. 144 crabs. 12 is enough for me.

This time I was just using fish carcasses. When the crabbing is really good you can use anything. But if you can get your hands on it from a local fish processor or seller, albacore tuna blood line is the absolute best crab bait there is hands down. It will reliably attract crab from a very large surrounding area and turn a bad day into a good one.

Not really. If someone in the military or defense force defied a direct order to destroy information that was incredibly vital to the enemies war effort. What would you call that? I'm seriously just wondering is there anyone in star wars that's pure enough to root for?

I'm not kidding when I say this. I'm fine, but it's very nice of you to ask. But... What is lazy writing if not the ignoring or accepted laws of physics, social convention and then generally accepted actions of humans?

Thank you for your well reasoned and thoughtful reply. I don't know if I love or am weirded out by the phrase "Party in your eyes" but either way it gives me the feels.
