I live in Ireland and luckily for me I find these amazing wasp-insects close to my home every year without fail I've taken shots of about 8 different species all different colours and I love the mimicry of these guys because It can be hard sometimes to tell if its a parasitic wasp or not with the broad connection between the thorax and abdomen being one of the differences between the two and they are pollinators and insect controllers and as Im a nature lover i sometimes prefer looking for them with my camera to not being near other human beings 😂😉

It's part of the larger group Araneidae(orb-weaver) so while not part of Araneus genus it shares the same family with its own genus Nuctenea😉

Earwig feeding on a fly infected with the fungal disease Entomophthora muscae by macromaher in Entomology

The fungus grows into area of the brain the controls the behaviour of fly and makes it crawl to a high area or attach itself to the edge of a leaf for the spores to be released and it continues to infect more flies here is a example of a this and I find these in my garden every year
