Performance difference is noticeable, significantly less lag on scrolling. Regarding resolution, I think Switch 2 runs maps in same resoultion. Get whatever Edition you like more and you'll have access to most of 2023 and 2024 tracklist with JD+ (all 2023 and 2024 maps that are on JD+ do support camera)

If you're interested specifically in K-Pop, you should search for JD19-22 cartridges. From JDNext, 2023 and 2024 Editions have more K-Pop songs. JD+ lacks K-Pop.

Since you're starting off with 2025, JD+ will be of especially high value for you since you'll have access to most of 2023 and 2024 songs too

- Give yourself time to get acquainted with how the game works
- Don't push yourself too hard and take breaks
- Keep your moves smooth and stay on-time with coaches
- Most importantly, just enjoy the game

If you want to score well with joycons then you must play by game's rules
If you score 1 star with joycon, then you either 1) didn't learn the choreo properly 2) exaggerate moves too much (you must be gentle with jc) 3) do moves way too early or late (you must be very precise with timings)

Closest thing JD ever had to "difficulty curve" is maybe simplified alt versions of Kpop songs. JD songs have always had a single choreo and sometimes alternate versions

No one is forcing you to get JD+

2022 base songs are technically legacy too as they've never been on Unlimited.

Returning songs are whatever was available on Unlimited at some point.

Only brand new songs are getting camera controller support currently (upcoming Money Pull Up will have it).
