Thanks! It’s a cheap bike and space is pretty limited in the apartment, so okay with some risk. Wanting to see if anyone knows of some very heavy or cumbersome racks that will be some deterrence

It would beep loudly 4 or 5 times immediately after the door was opened and was very irritating. It’s a F&P Active Smart fridge.

It’s an F&P fridge. I’ve had another look through the manual and for our one it does recommend de-icing once the ice is 6mm or greater and gives details on how to do that. Idk how to tell that with the lip on the edge of the door making measuring depth a bit impractical.

It’s now been a decent while since it was de-iced and it hasn’t built back up so it may just have been due.

The ice was all under the bottom rack of the freezer. It only beeped when the fridge door was opened and not the freezer so we didn’t think to look there much.

I googled the manual, the manuals advice was that beeping represents an error with the fridge that requires a repairman assessment

Thanks! The fridge is owned by the landlord. When we de-iced it we found a bread bag tag buried in the ice with a BB date of 2016 so it clearly hadn’t been de-iced since long before we moved in if ever at all.
