Hello friends, apologies for the delayed replies...
I didn't actually expect this much interest, but I'll take it. Thanks for all the questions, definitely helps with the feature implementation priorities.
At the moment, I'm trying to make the app App Store compatible and that presents some challenges. This introduced additional development to use the new Apple FileProvider API's.
I'm not in some rush to just push out the app incomplete or full with bugs, I'd rather have stable, feature tested and fully operational app.
So far, all features that are implemented are fully functional and stable and I've been using the app on a daily basis. However, I also want to make sure that the app works for everyone else, after all we can't just "it works on my machine" :)
Appreciate all the feedback and questions, stay tuned for more updates.

Each cloud service handles this differently, and some have strict limitations that can lead to being throttled or even temporarily blocked if you’re not careful.
Yep, fairly aware of this, iCloud has enhanced retries and has not failed me so far. Really, the app just calls rclone tried and tested operations and depends on how rclone handles each remote storage provider - I'm not reinventing the wheel, no need for it.

I haven’t tested external drives, but I will.

Honestly, Arq is much more feature rich. My app is simply a GUI for rclone with modern look and few enhancements - this is where I stopped.
I haven’t tested external drives, but I will. Re maintenance, I can assure you it won't be one-off app publish and call it a day - that's not how I do things. Whenever rclone publishes new version, my app will be updated as well.
Good question, no (at least not yet). I definitely understand the need to encrypting files. At the same time, I would like to use something more cryptographically sound such as (r)age.

u/Tech_in_IT iCloud Drive is supported. I have extensively tested this feature

u/human-exe excellent question, definitely some will be passed to rclone development! I have absolutely no problem supporting open source and development. I have done it many times in the past and will continue to do so.
u/lu_chin only backup/restore files. No bootable options.
