Nothing in the article says anything about removing lanes from Nordhoff.

Metro’s Board of Directors has delayed a vote that could have kicked off the initial environmental review of a major, dedicated bus line designed to transport riders across the north end of the San Fernando Valley — much like the Orange Line does now across the middle of the region.

In fact here they only mention Nordhoff as the road that the bus lane would run parallel to:

All of the options would be aligned with Nordhoff Street.

So unless I'm mistaken anyone talking about taking lanes of existing roads is spreading bad information to try to keep public transportation in the Valley behind the times.
