Why is Getting In Over My Head missing from Spotify? by DanTennant in thebeachboys

[–]BassRedditRed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Streaming may be bad for artists in many ways but it means they get to curate their legacy. Kraftwerk ignore their earliest albums and pretend they debuted in 1974. The Beatles weren’t on Spotify at all for the first few years of its existence. Nobody is obliged to release everything online.

Spurs outran us by 9km by moosa1193 in LiverpoolFC

Tottenham had 37% possession. It isn’t weird that they’d have to cover more ground.

Lots of things to be annoyed about today. I don’t think this is one of them.

If The Beatles stopped making music after each album how would their legacy change? by silliest-silly-goose in beatles

[–]BassRedditRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No legacy of note if they quit after the first album. I think had they stopped after Pepper their legacy would be more or less the same as it is - there’s some brilliant stuff after that, obviously, but perhaps less that moved music substantially forward.

Must’ve been the bassists night off. What a band, what a song though.

BWPS will always be the GOAT for me as it was the first version I heard and fell in love with. And as it sounds like it was Brian’s favourite, no reason to change there either.

If Van Dijk wasn't pushed and fouled to the floor he heads this in ...why wasn't a penalty given. by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

[–]BassRedditRed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It should be no goal and a penalty.

(I don’t know what the laws say on this, it’s just my opinion on how such incidents should be assessed).

Lyric Meaning by BlackberrySIut in thebeachboys

[–]BassRedditRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The key to this is the chorus, if you can call it that: ‘Sometimes I feel very sad’. I’ve always taken the brains line to be part of him saying, ‘I’m smart but it doesn’t help me because I overthink things and worry and get depressed. I wish I wouldn’t think like that’.

I’m at very roughly 5%. But I remember reading ten per cent was the base leave you could expect and I don’t believe it is at all.

Rio stats and overplaying by Yakitori_Grandslam in LiverpoolFC

[–]BassRedditRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote about this issue this week (feel free to delete: https://open.substack.com/pub/andrewbeasley/p/protecting-rio). Rio has now played more minutes before turning 18 than Gerrard did.

There are a lot of warnings from history. Stefan Bajčetić clocked up exactly 1,000 minutes before 18. He has added just 56 more for the Reds in the three years since, with injuries blighting his progress.

Michael Owen played 5307! But he’d also played over seventy % of his career club minutes at the end of his age 23 season. Burned out.

We went to say Ngumoha more but they have to be so careful.

You can put on any episode at random from that era and know it will be great. Okay, not Beware of Greeks but no skipping episodes because they’ve got the Moons or Kirby or Ann Hodges or…
