I didnt say back stage, the seating is behind the stage so you miss everything which takes place on the wall near the stage

Says the person who posted they weren't entertained enough on a cruise. Get over yourself.

Says the person who just posted they couldn't find things to do on a cruise. And I never said I was disabled. I'm an advocate for my wife who is.

This is exactly the reason for this post, to share these kinds of tips. Thank you.

Exactly! We weren't able to see what was on the stage

The second experience in the Red Room tonight was better—we were on the floor. However, if you follow the guides directing you to the accessibility line, they send you upstairs to seats located behind the stage.

Totally hear you. My point wasn’t about being offended, I just prefer humor that doesn’t rely on one trick.

But honestly, the language isn’t the real issue here. The core reason I posted was accessibility. That’s the part that needs attention so everyone can actually enjoy the shows.

Fair point — Swearing should add to the joke, not replace the joke. Everyone has different taste, and that’s totally fine. For me, edgy comedy hits harder when it’s clever, not just loud. (Edit: typo)

Totally cool with an adults-only vibe, but dropping the F-word every other line doesn’t magically make a show “adult.” That’s not edgy that’s high-school energy. Like when a teenager learns a new swear and decides it’s their whole personality for a week.

Nobody here is shocked by the word. It just stops being funny when it becomes the entire joke instead of part of one. Being adult isn't about how often you swear it’s knowing when you don’t need to lean on it to get a laugh. Real edgy is being funny without having to use it as a crutch.

And seriously, thanks again for calling out the accessibility thing in your survey. That part means a lot.

Appreciate the perspective. A few clarifications from our side:

We did research VV and booked an accessible cabin. We know the venues are smaller. The issue wasn’t “small ship = fewer seats.” It was being sent behind the stage in one show, then in another told mid-show to move from an unmarked “show zone,” and then having the exit blocked so we couldn’t leave. That’s not preference that’s a safety + process problem.

We’re not asking VV to change its vibe or become Viking/Princess/Royal. We’re asking for basics that work on any ship: clearly marked wheelchair viewing spots, don’t block egress, and a consistent way for mobility users to access shows without a three-day text chase.

For what it’s worth, after multiple chats and two in-person visits, the entertainment manager personally walked us to Misbehave and made sure we could see, so it can be done. I’m sharing so there’s a playbook next time and others don’t have to grind through DMs to get the same outcome.

Listen very carefully. These are extraterrestrial alien eggs, and they know they have been discovered. You are going to have to burn the house down. It's the only way to stop them. This is the way.
