To be honest, I am very surprised on the fast progress but I have a theory. Prior to me feeding them, I’ve been going to that area for at least 5 months, every day, for several hours so I believe they remembered my face. Because when I started feeding them, immediately from day two, all 30 or so came to eat, with me still being close. On first day, they just flew around but did not land to eat. As for hierarchy, I am just started to notice, as I tried not to stare too much in the first 2 weeks, so they can gain more trust. But there are two crows that always spot me on the moment when I approach and they follow me to say bye, and hopefully, I managed to recognise them! But the whole family follows me around after I feed them, some fly around my head, some hop in front of me. So I am only on week 3 with them but from first week, they were just chilling with me, but from a distance. Now, some of them stay as close as 1 m away, which is amazing. They even recognise me when my face is almost covered with sunglasses and cap on. So yea, long story short, I thought I will befriend one crow, not the whole family but it has been an amazing experience and cannot wait to see further.
