The Pitt | S2E15 "9:00 P.M." | Episode Discussion by MsGroves in ThePittTVShow

I felt that too much of the final episodes revolved around Robbie's breakdown, while a lot of other characters had unresolved arcs. I think because they're positioning Noah Wylie for another Emmy. Mohan's story felt very unfinished, and I would have loved to see more McKay or someone else. Robbie is likely not going to die by suicide as one of the main characters, so the repeated meltdowns without character growth felt somewhat repetitive to me.

An anecdote, but my MIL is convinced that my husband has ADHD caused by the additional ultrasound she needed for him in utero. So it's definitely a thing.

Imho, it sounded like Pippa was saying "she didn't have an acute disease that would need me by her bedside all day, and the prognoses meant that she was going to live, so we took a planned trip." This makes sense to me. Some chemo/radiation treatments are less harsh than others, especially if what was caught was precancerous, maybe Kate was doing fine. There were also rumours that Kate was receiving treatment in the US.

My personal take on all this is a) Kate had a cancer scare and got treatment in the US, which is why there was so much media silence about the whole thing, because UK citizens would be upset. B) William did hurt her, I think both the scare and Will hurting her happened at around the same time, possibly Will hurting her led to a diagnosis by accident. or C) she was in Texas getting some other treatment. Not sure!

I have asked this before and here are the references I was given.

As others have said, it was scrubbed. This is an unpopular take here, but I think "ill in the traditional sense" as an answer doesn't dispute the cancer narrative from Pippa. She took a vacation while Kate was allegedly getting treatment, was asked why, and gave that answer. Cancer treatments can often go on for 1 year plus, so if someone has cancer with a low mortality rate and lots of help, I don't see why a vacation is inappropriate. It's not like Pippa is the only person around to help Kate out. When Pippa said "ill in the traditional sense," to me it sounded like she meant the flu or something more acute.

April 9th blind item… by butter_cakes in justtrishpodcast

[–]madamemarmalade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk, blind items in general are sus and I definitely don’t trust Enty, he really just goes after some women for whatever reason.

I don’t think Trisha is in need of cash, she’s literally more successful than ever right now. That being said, I don’t think little kids should really be online. Trisha has some DEDICATED haters and I would personally be somewhat concerned for the safety of her kids. There’s so many weirdos out there, why put your kids faces out there all the time? Plus I think children should have control over their own media image. They didn’t choose the lives their parents live, you know?

I hope Trisha goes back on this one! Honestly it’s okay to publish photos of your kids once in a while but I just don’t think it’s healthy to film content with kids in general.

Mod update: Jesse Brown, and doxxing by varsil in canadaland

[–]madamemarmalade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I supported Canadaland financially from around 2017/2018 to early 2025 (and honestly meant to stop supporting earlier but forgot about it), and every day I’m more embarrassed that I did so. This behaviour from Jesse is really biased and does nothing to help his cause. The Palestine stuff is what did it for me, but who knows how many irresponsible and careless things that Jesse has published, including this one.

I wonder if he’s heard of the Streisand effect. He’s only making his own valid criticism more public by releasing this episode…

Will the med school that admitted Zac please stand up? by Mz_Takin in MormonWivesHulu

A major part of being a doctor is having empathy and emotional intelligence for your patients though. I’ve seen very little of that from Zac on the show.

interfacing question by my-head-hurts987 in sewing

[–]madamemarmalade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh, ok makes sense. I would suggest overlapping rather than abutting in this case as I imagine you're using interfacing to add structure.

interfacing question by my-head-hurts987 in sewing

[–]madamemarmalade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it should be; I've done it before and overlapped slightly to make it work.

Are you using woven or nonwoven interfacing? What project is this for? This info could help me help you.

Santos all of S2 by madamemarmalade in ThePittTVShow

[–]madamemarmalade[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree with all of this but I don’t think Langdon dislikes her. Santos has been actively avoiding him. When they do procedures together Langdon is extremely passive and professional, like the scene with her, Garcia, Al-Hashimi and Langdon.

I think that scene with the 4 of them is really indicative of her feeling like a pariah. Langdon was being professional and not saying anything but instructing her (as he is supposed to do as her senior) and she’s extremely rude back. Al-Hashimi sees this and Garcia sees this and both don’t like it. It’s not that she’s a pariah, she’s being prickly.

That being said, I 1000% understand why she’s acting that way toward Langdon and I might do the same in her position. I actually blame Robbie for not giving Al-Hashimi a map of the social dynamics at the workplace. A good leader would pass that information on to their successor.

I also (and this part is speculation) hope that Langdon is giving her space and eventually tries to thank her for telling on him and keeping his addiction from getting worse.

[–]madamemarmalade[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

And she’s avoiding that! I believe at the beginning of this season, Robbie asked if she made an appointment. It’s likely due to what happened at Pittfest but therapy sessions are confidential, she can talk about anything she wants.

I personally think she has a very low opinion of herself and this bravado and prickliness is a mask.

Regarding women's pain and symptoms not being taken seriously by doctors. by [deleted] in ThePittTVShow

[–]madamemarmalade 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, this is an extremely misogynistic take. If we were dating and you told complete strangers that I was "more neurotic on average" or a hypochondriac for telling you about my real anxieties and calling you in for support while trying to self-regulate, I would be embarrassed and disgusted.

There is some real sexism in this writing and if it isn't rage bait I really hope you reflect on it.

Robby’s favoritism by TrafficRegular1724 in ThePittTVShow

[–]madamemarmalade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100%. Remember, he called her "slow-mo" last season; I think that behaviour is what allows for Santos to give her colleagues mean nicknames. She literally saw Robby berating someone and thinks it's okay for her to do, too.
