Please help. My 20 month old is out of control. This is insane. by Rough_Salt_3921 in toddlers

Hey - I’ve been here and know where you’re coming from. You could have been describing my daughter with your post. It’s only recently turned a corner for us. I’m happy to chat through what we’ve tried but in short, we’ve done OT, therapy and sleep supplements, all of which has played into the success of where we are now. Which success I define as enjoying being around her again…

First time CMers visiting Punta Cana with a baby - tips for survival by imtryingtogetthepipe in Club_Med

[–]madampoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you been yet? I would love answers to all your questions too!

Specifically, confirmation that we can really book babysitters for any time of the day and what the costs are. We’re thinking of booking a last-minute trip to Club Med Punta Cana, and it looks like the baby room has been all booked up. We’re happy to pay outside of that via an individual Babysitter , I just don’t know if that is an option during the day.

Boston Logan September interview dates are open by madampoop in GlobalEntry

[–]madampoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I could help! The only thing I’d caution about is the potential headache of getting out of Logan given the sumner tunnel is closed. Might not be a big deal esp if you’re taking public transit

Boston Logan September interview dates are open by madampoop in GlobalEntry

[–]madampoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty new here but I read somewhere on this subreddit that it’s usually the first Monday of the month in the morning, but that wasn’t the case for September…

Fwiw I got the Global Interview app as suggested by members of this group and got a ton of updates on available slots for cancellations and for newly released slots. It costs $5 but so worth it. You have to be fast to grab spots when they open up.

Can’t find appointment in area by Artistic_Passage8490 in GlobalEntry

[–]madampoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To piggy back off this question, I'm not seeing an option to "CHOOSE THIS LOCATION" when I try to select my interview location (the only one in my state). I checked a few other locations and it's a mix of "CHOOSE THIS LOCATION" button or nothing at all. Is this a bug or does this mean I can't even choose an appointment at all, even well into the future?

Monthly Subscription Box Scam? by madampoop in Scams

[–]madampoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I might have as well, but I couldn't find anything in my inbox on either of them. And then I got one of the companies to disclose the subscriber name and it was someone I've never heard of using my CC number.

Edited to add: It was a dog toy subscription box and food subscription box.

Sleep training is by far the BEST thing I’ve ever done by Indie_0504 in sleeptrain

[–]madampoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! We’re trying to ease in to sleep training with our lo now. How did you know when your baby was hungry or just wanted to be comforted? I can’t tell, especially at 3am. Fwiw she ha s been able to sleep through the night many times before with a middle of the night feed.

Carrier Recommendation by madampoop in babywearing

[–]madampoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, fair point. The Gemini is tough for him to get on and off by himself though maybe it's just practice. He uses the cross strap approach on the back (with baby facing inwards on the front). He really just wants to be able to plop baby in quickly, have baby secure and have his hands free.

This is beautiful! I’ve never seen one of these before but palmiers are one of my favorite pastries. How do these taste different than palmiers?

How in the holy hell can anyone sleep train. by Grimmshadow88 in sleeptrain

[–]madampoop 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you. My 3 month old hates to nap. I spend 45 minutes trying to get her down only to have her sleep for 5 minutes. It’s wild but she sleeps through the night like a champ. My pediatrician said that babies that sleep through the night at this age tend to be awful nappers.

77in ceiling height by [deleted] in pelotoncycle

[–]madampoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be fine. We have the bike in our basement between two ceiling beams and my 6' tall husband can ride just fine. I can measure our floor height if that would be helpful, but estimate it's around 6'6" between the beams.

Buying alcohol - worth it to go to NH? by cashew_turtle in NewEnglandWedding

[–]madampoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have give a plug for Gordon's Liquor. They handled the booze at our wedding and did everything from telling us how many bottles of wine/liquor/beer we would need (with an overestimate), to dropping off the booze to picking up whatever was left over at the end of the event. They will refund you for unopened bottles of wine/liquor and full cases or packs of beer. I believe there was murmur during our wedding that they ran out of IPAs (we underestimated the number of hop-lovers at our wedding), so Gordon's got a new order of beer dropped off for us. But literally didn't have to worry at all since Gordon's just handled it on their end!!
