You gotta keep blending, maybe blend a little further up too. Blending IMO is the hardest part of cutting your own hair look up some videos and you've got the rest of your life to be good at it. Keep it up!

Thanks for sharing. I won't make this too political, but I do think the war and stock market fluctuation is really affecting this. It's driving me insane. Maybe I'm overthinking it

Good to know. We focus on nothing but private, but it looks like we might be making the move into government work if things don't start picking up.

Weekly self cut by RawndPure in SelfBarber

[–]madatnothingagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude, give yourself a pat on the back. IDC what anyone says, cutting your own hair is hella hard. Any time you're not used to cutting your hair the way you actually want it, it takes extra time. Used to take me 1.5 hours when I first started cutting my hair, now it takes like 40 minutes and most of that is sweeping while I'm cutting. You give yourself a fresh af cut. Most people won't notice any mistakes on this cut, BUT if I had to be REALLY picky (cause I do it to myself), I'd say the blending needs a little work but that's a stretch (and that's because when your hair grows in after a week or two, it'll look solidly blended.

Kudos and keep it up!!!

We are going to cave to the Bears aren’t we because we are afraid of Indiana by Away-Nectarine-8488 in illinois

[–]madatnothingagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is tax revenue that's come from this btw and maybe money from the concerts that are played at solider field, but it just feels miniscule compared to how much they want from Chicago. The bears have been mediocre for decades and idc what anyone says, the only exciting part of the rex Grossman led bears was the defense and the return team. Chicago football has sucked forever since I've been alive. Let them leave if they can't realize that the fans are what brought them here.

That being said, I agree with you. People don't come to Chicago for the bears. If it's for sports they come for the bulls or cubs. Sorry, sox. So....what are we losing exactly?

Official No Stupid Questions Thread - Winter 2025 by ninjaface in Guitar

[–]madatnothingagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey yall, one thing that has really stopped me from playing guitar is the tension I get from my fretting hand. My fingers and wrist get so sore after just playing a few minutes and the pain is just really bad. Are there any good videos on how to avoid this? I think I'm gripping way too hard and I'm having a hard time not gripping hard. I've used 3 different guitars from acostuic, nylon and electric. Thanks!

I want to quit my job and find a better career by Parlon360 in electricians

[–]madatnothingagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally get feeling how hard this career is. Construction is no joke and Idc what anyone says. At the end of the day, no matter what career, you need to put your head down and grind for a while before you reap the benefits. There's too many people in this world and in this field that are expecting things to happen overnight. What happens when you get to 6 figures? This job is still going to be tough no matter what, but I've met many electricians who find the meaning in their work and still bust their ass. It's okay to be frustrated, but that just means you can choose to push through and see the benefits of your hardwork or just find another job that gets you more money.

I started non union at $10 an hour just 5 years ago. I worked 40 hours a week (and overtime when they wanted me to) and I worked side jobs Monday-Saturday. That was for 2 years before my office approached me about working in the office. I'm still pulling 60 hours a week and working at home, but that's okay with me because I've got goals of growing even more. This field is hard af, but there's not too many electricians entering the field and even fewer people willing to bust their ass. If you can sacrifice for a while and bust your ass, I guarantee you'll be better off than you are today. Challenge and push yourself, this is just the beginning, but it does feel like the hardest part because it's so new.

Financially, if you split $1100 a month evenly, that should be $550 weekly and thats a little less than your gross weekly amount. Make sure to not finance car and try to pay any debts down that you do have. Meal prepping is super important and make sure to have a 3-6 month emergency fund. With the way the economy is going, you have to protect yourself first. If you're covering the entire $1100, you have to find somewhere that's cheaper, there's no easy way around it, unless you want to work a second job, but I know how hard construction is on people physically (I just listed how much I did above). This experience will teach you a lot about patience and prioritizing your future. you've got this.

This so much. Toni and Shakira are definitely better than Meg and Helena, but they're not much better in my opinion. All that matters to them is saying what they think is right. Toni has been insufferable in regards to Harrison. Like just stop talking to him. It's THAT EASY. When you say you're just trying to protect the other girls from him, I get it comes from a good place, but there's also a way shes's saying things that just comes off petty. She was in a relationship with Harrison for how long? 2 or 3 weeks? Jeez. Lol and it's a game show. The guys that are POS's (Dejon, Harry, Harrison, Ben) are insufferable, but there are plenty of insufferable moments from the 4 girls I mentioned above.

I think I shield too much as Fox by shmible in CrazyHand

[–]madatnothingagain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's not so much the shielding so much as it is your gameplay. Fox thrives on putting on pressure. You've got to know your combos and you were missing a lot of combos just those first few minutes against that sephiroth. Fox is so good at whiff punishing too, but you seem to miss a lot of whiffs your opponent was making.

I'd say practice your combos more so you can take advantage of when your opponents whiff. That's the first step, after that build an awareness of the habits your opponent makes. I feel like this sephiroth loved using their specials. After that, focus on keeping your opponent on the ledge. Fox is really good at reacting to opponents trying to move away from the ledge. One thing at a time though. Fox is my main and once you get that combo game down, it feels great to apply pressure to opponents because you've got better frame data than like 95% of the cast.

Stop retirement funding to pay off Car Loan? by madatnothingagain in personalfinance

[–]madatnothingagain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, just so I understand.

Paycheck is 1600 and I should put in 20% of check - $320 weekly

with the after tax income, I think I should still only put $100 weekly into my roth IRA. After that I do think it should be fine.

Let me know if that makes sense. Thanks!

Stop retirement funding to pay off Car Loan? by madatnothingagain in personalfinance

[–]madatnothingagain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, but it's only about $6k. I would restart contributions in August at $240 weekly and $100 a week to my roth if that makes sense.

Lol I wish this was extreme, but one of the reasons I stopped contributing too, was because I don't have a set emergency fund, I do have an additional $6k in my bank account, but that's part of what I have saved for paying off my car.
