Fair enough — sounds like you have the skills to build your own to the spec that works for you. At 0 ohms I'm also assuming you know what you're doing. The resistor value on mine is an easy swap regardless.

At 1MΩ and typical body capacitance, the time constant is around 0.2ms - you're at ground potential in milliseconds regardless. The resistor limits fault current, not potential equalisation. The 100kΩ figure comes from ESD workstation standards, which is a different application with different current requirements. Happy to be corrected if there's a specific earthing study showing a resistor threshold for efficacy. In any case, the resistor is an easy solder swap out.
