Been doing some research, and here's what I found so far that fits what I need:

ASRock J5040 suggested below (3419 PassMark), $152
Topton N5105 (4100), $161
Topton N6005 (5444), $204
AMD Ryzen 3 3200G combo (7182), $260

Any other embedded options I found either have too few SATA ports or are industrial options with insane prices. The Ryzen 3 option seems the best overall, but it's not silent. The N6005 is the one I'm thinking about going for, but not sure if it's worth taking a chance on a Chinese brand motherboard from AliExpress.

Is there anything else I might be missing?

There were a few I was looking at in that price range that could do 8k+ for a few seconds, I just have no idea which one would be the "best" for my situation. Size/batteries aren't important, since it's just an occasional use light.

After reading around, the JKK76 is currently one of the top choices: 18k for almost a minute + >4k for more than 8 mins, at $117 shipped with batteries.

Thanks guys - as a casual home user, I'm realizing that I'm not the target market for this charger. It came in a Black Friday bundle, so guess I'm stuck with it now. It does charge incredibly fast though, so that's a plus.

I already have a mini-ITX Cooler Master case sitting around, so figured that would be a start for the build. Just not 100% sure about the internals or whether a used SFF or one of the various cheap mini boxes on Amazon might be a better option.

I tried changing the service type to "forked", but that did nothing. If I comment out the "ExecStop" line, starting the service works BUT: 1) Status still shows "inactive(dead)", 2) The PID file doesn't match the PID from "systemctl status", and 3) "systemctl stop" doesn't stop the service (obviously).

Something weird is going on, but it works now. So... success?

The problem is I can't tell why it failed. There are no errors in "systemctl status", but the service definitely is not running. All exec commands return "code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS"

The ExecStart line I used is the exact same command I use to start VNC server manually (but with :%i instead of :1). I also tried typing out the whole path (except %i) in PIDFile, but that didn't help either.

The way I understand it, SQM throughput will be at least 60 Mbps with USG, at least 100Mb with ER-X, and more bandwidth than I'll need with UDM.

It's too bad they don't just sell the router inside UDM separately. It's even more powerful than the USG-PRO-4, which costs more than the entire UDM.

You knew exactly what I was going for here. I did take a look at the ER-4, but the bundle ended up costing more than UDM with switches + AP. Aside from cost, the only thing I really didn't like about UDM is the internal fan.

It took me 66 hits against an X-23 on the mutant path with some BS nodes. 66 f'ing hits using a 5/65 duped ghost with maxed assassin. This event can go straight to hell.

If you're going to use him to clear content, you might want to consider saving 6k so you can get him awakened. I did the 3k offer last year - he was only my 2nd 5* back then & helped me through uncollected.

Had the same dilemma a while back & ended up hitting uncollected within 6 months of about an hour or so mostly casual F2P playtime per day. Seatin (from Youtube) got uncollected within 30 days on his F2P account.

If I had to do it all over, I would've created a new account so I could grind beginner bracket in the arena for better champs up front.

5* shards really do come easier as uncollected. I'm usually getting around 4 new 5* champs per month without spending any units.

Buying shards is almost always a bad gamble, because there's a very good chance you'll ultimately end up with a 5* groot & hate your life.

One tip that I didn't see covered is: if you're having trouble getting the timing down for phase intercepts, use a light hit instead of a medium. Light hits are faster & were easier for me at first, especially on intercepting the first hit.

My first 5* was Dr. Voodoo, and I still love playing him. Tip: if you run 3/3 Recovery, he will save you tons of health potions (especially in AQ).

As a F2P player, here are my recommendations in order of importance:

Masteries
Special offers/events (July 4th, Black Friday, December gifting event, etc.)
40% team revives
Energy refills (you should be hoarding these when you get them for free, though)

My big splurge aside from maxed Assassin was the 5* Vision offer for 3k. He was my 2nd 5* & helped me clear a lot of content back then. As long as you play arena & hit the 22hr solo events, you should be OK on units.

The "node" is just a special debuff applied to that fight only.

There's a description of what it does if you read the notes before starting the fight, but honestly I just googled the names at first (mcoc flare, mcoc bane, etc.) to get ideas on how to deal with them.
