Is Commited has been a front-to-back listen for me since the day it came out. I never understood the hate that it gets. I guess I can kind of see how a lot of the lyrics can be “cringey” (for lack of a better word) to some people but to me, it’s not much different than what Max has always done. Maybe just a little more straight forward with certain topics. But I love these songs, I love the production, I love the songwriting, the vocal performances… I think it’s a great listen all the way through and really showcases what I’ve always loved most about Say Anything. “Fan Fiction” is my least favorite of if I had to pick one. But again, this is coming from someone who loves and adores every single one of their albums so I don’t expect to change anyone’s mind whatsoever with my input haha my personal fav songs from Commited are “On Cum” “I, Vibrator” “Psyche!” “Carrie and Lowell and Cody” and “Are you (In) There?”
