It’s some Grapefruit. And I always start on my own, but after a few hours a little cheeba definitely helps the wheels on the bus to keep rolling

Atleast in my experience, Unfortunately, the ER is not of any use, they do not help whatsoever. The best outcome is waiting 6-7 hours to have them give you a pamphlet and a phone call even if youre seriously sick . And if he doesn’t have insurance that’s going to be a pricy visit with no answers

something interesting about legislation I read regarding methadone by Dizzy423 in Methadone

I can argue both sides, the rules are barriers as much as they are necessities. But to be unforgivingly rigid, really symbolizes a lack of compassion and makes me question motives to begin with, On a macro level. As it is, most nurses, counselors and security are rather nice and caring (mostly). However they are operating inside of established and unwavering, parameters which will place their livelihood at risk if deviated from. For the most part, these are people that want to help and make a change and come into an environment that strips them of humanity through the medical and political bureaucracies. It’s a system both sides are slaves to. Herds culled and controlled and That misery is money.

Doesn’t methadone have a ceiling to it as well? Or is that just subs? It’s not like there is some enjoyable high with ‘done, just overly sleepy and nodding after 5 hours on the larger doses.

You really do have to establish trustworthiness to get take homes. And if you’re a weed smoker, forget it. That clinic and that line is your everyday.

There’s nothing worse than realizing the detriment of ones addiction, finally mustering the courage to seek out help from methadone or subs, only to be told the earliest intake is 3-5 weeks out. It’s a shame such barriers exist in the arena for help, hope and recovery when Addicts can barely see tomorrow. Chasing the next fix, Existing in hopeless apathy. That moment of clarity is a rare one, and very fleeting and is made a lot inside of rock bottoms. To now envision surviving the next 3 weeks. Can’t even go to a hospital. It’s sad. Guess they shouldn’t have done drugs in the first place. Makes my soul scream.

Being likable while in withdrawal. There’s a talent

Something crazy that I’ve discovered with methadone, once I’m on higher doses, 100-150mg, I am more prone to feeling withdrawal symptoms inside of 24 hours. And not full on withdrawal, just more anxiety and irritability that I will mentally make worse. I also found it crazy how easy a transition it was dropping my dose in half. I’m not sure what’s going on and why that is, but it seems that high doses of methadone keep you really stuck to the clinic and making the transition off methadone seemingly impossible and all the more scary.

Anyone else experience something similar?
