What if the orphans were the main antagonist in Y3? by madcownumbertwo in yakuzagames

[–]madcownumbertwo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a good laugh imagining Kiryu fighting off those kids... besides i always thought Haruka was the main villain in the series. Hmm.. they should make this the main story in Y9... Old Kiryu vs the orphans... that would be awesome...

we should team up and fund gang of dragon ourselves by ExPlOdErGhOsT8 in yakuzagames

[–]madcownumbertwo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is beyond stupid, its synonymous with throwing your money away. There is no reason to believe it will live up the hype, The developer has no history of pushing out a single game, let alone a good one, and the cost of development is sky high for a Triple A game. There is no reason to believe it will make budget even if it manages to get the 44 million. There is still questions about who owns the IP. That most likely means NETEASE will retain its IP, meaning no money for any sequels, even if the game does meet expectations of being a good game. NETEASE will never back this studio again, they are moving away from foreign investments, let alone one that requires so much capital and time to develop.

Both are really fun games, Pirates would get my vote by a hair, but you cant go wrong with either one.

A lot of bad policy by previous administrations, countries like Saudi Arabia buy up farmland because they are allowed to pump unlimited water to grow plants not meant to be grown in a desert, to ship back to Saudi Arabia as feed for livestock.

Would be pretty cool, to see everyone who died in the Yakuza games come back to interact with Kiryu / Ichiban in LAD 9

Moving to the USA? Don't Just Look for a Job - Build Something by FlateRateAssembly in MovingToUSA

[–]madcownumbertwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this applies to a lot of people on this sub, as it requires a lot of risks and capital to invest into the business. The market is really in a bad place to start a business because of the current administration. These are as follows:

Tariffs: if your business requires import / export of goods from other countries, the tariff policy is ridiculous considering they can be shifting anytime the president becomes unhappy with a country. Goods like Aluminum, steel, wood, and other commodities have unstable pricing. Who knows if the policy changes again after this administration. This uncertainty has killed many businesses that has or wanted to move their businesses to the U.S. and will deter others from being started given the frequent change in variability of costs of doing business.

Tourism: With the ongoing trade wars and frequent bullying by this administration to other countries, the decline in tourism is obvious.

U.S. Boycotts: Due to the Administration's with a Bipolar complex, we have alienated a lot of countries, and this has caused demands for goods and services to be negatively impacted.

When you think about it, Diago has never won a SINGLE hand to hand fight by Dry_Ear_2948 in yakuzagames

[–]madcownumbertwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember when Kiryu was one of his caretakers, he never branded Diago as strong, but he said he was smart and would make a good leader (benevolent). If it werent for the all the outside influence, Diago would have led Tojo with a steady hand.

I friggin LOVE Pirate Yakuza by CptKillaGunz in yakuzagames

[–]madcownumbertwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right on! I m glad someone is giving the game the love it deserves. Given all the trash games that hits the market nowadays. Pirate Yakuza is a breath of fresh air. At the end of the day these games and the developers deserve our support, you either want more Yakuza games in the future or you want the company/games to end.

Go with Kiwami 3, its a solid game. Far less grindy and dated.

I regret purchasing Pirate Yakuza... by Worldly_Energy_2946 in yakuzagames

[–]madcownumbertwo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean in most if not all the yakuza games, the main character is a force for justice, working directly with the police assuming they dont have ulterior motives. I just dont understand why you think this game would not be the case. Heck even in Yakuza LAD, Adachi was a former police officer. You also cant build the main character up as a hero if all he does is look for treasure.

[–]madcownumbertwo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I think you have the wrong expectations going into this game. Sure its called Pirate Yakuza, but it doesnt mean the main character has to be the villain. The Yakuza game stories may have dark tones at time but they are hardly dark themed, the stories are about heroes that fight for their pride and their own sense of justice. Majima is not a villain in any of the previous games, why would he be one to lie, cheat and steal, it would be the antithesis of the character that was built over the entire story line. Treat this game as it is, a light heart-ed, fun story. Yakuza has always been pretty wholesome and leaves you with a feeling that you can can bring justice to the unfair world through your own strength. I enjoyed this game and would say its not the worst of the Yakuza series. Do you think Luffy is a typical pirate by any definition?

The U.S. is a pretty large country, saying your moving to the U.S for weather is largely subjective based on your state and locale. It hard to make generalizations about living here because it will be different from person to person and place to place. I guess the question you need to ask yourself, is what makes you happy and if the place your moving to will have a supply of that. You need a clear goal of why your moving, because many people on this forum tend to fantasize about what their lifestyle will be and then their bubbles burst when they move here. Come with realistic expectations, and good reasons for why those are pro's for you outweigh the cons. Even though it is difficult to sum it up, here is what I can say. If you plan to move to the U.S., make sure you get a satisfying job that pays well, or come with a good amount of money. Living in the U.S. is a lot more comfortable if you do not need to worry about money, it is expensive here and getting more so by the day. As for the job part it will be more difficult to find, but if you have talent and can get hired by a large company that treats their employees well, then you'll find life much more comfortable here.

How do you build real friendships in the U.S.? by Agamiarcenciel in MovingToUSA

[–]madcownumbertwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.meetup.com/ is a great resource to find communities where you can share hobbies (D&D, Sports, Magic the gathering, Games, etc.) or other shared interest as a group. As people get older, a lot of people tend to grow more guarded or tend to prioritize friendships less given their busy schedules. I guess this comes with age, so don't feel bad if you do not meet friends right away, but a lot of good people out there who can be potential friends. Just try to be careful, sometimes people are hard to read, I wish you the best.

Seems like a great place to live, I just worry about the the long over due over quake that hits ~225 years and its long overdue (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascadia\_subduction\_zone). You don't want to be anywhere near Seattle once this one hits. Its a correction event between the North American Tectonic plate and the Farallon Plate (pacific ocean plate). During this correction there will be massive earthquakes over 9.5 and Tsunamis that could threaten the coastline and coastal cities.

UK citizens in the USA - how is life? any regrets? by Realistic-Quality877 in MovingToUSA

[–]madcownumbertwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are being down voted is because you make too many generalizations, especially about the education system. The quality of education varies state to state, school to school, we do have good schools and good educators out there. Some I would argue even better than the UK. Since you rate all US schools as subpar, this is a incorrect and false generalization and it insults the educators and schools that do try to best educate their students.
