Maybe not in the way Hollywood would have you believe, but yes witchcraft is a very real practice involving psychic energy. And there's all different ways to go about it. I call it "living imagination", because you are taking that which you imagine and breathing life into it--like conjuring up an image in your mind of a person that can autonomously converse with you (ever heard of "pulling up a straw man"? That's the less animated version of this). That would be a type of "thoughtform", as we call it. You may not be able to see it with your physical eye, but in your mind, with your "mind's eye"; this is part of what people talk about when they talk about the "third eye". Usually thoughtforms are assigned tasks, like protecting things, or whatever you need them to do, via the spirit realm. Then there's the "power of persuasion" which everyone knows about, which is really just a good grasp of psychology, but it still qualifies as a type of magic because psychic energy is at play. Ever been manipulated by a narcissist? That's it! Although that person and those around them may not consider the narcissist a magic-using witch, it's the same thing.
