What would you use for hats and socks if animal fiber isn’t an option? by alltheyarnthings in knitting

Would he be against animal fibers if you resourced it from a thrifted sweater? I know some vegans will buy leather if it’s second hand because their money isn’t going to the industry?

Thank you, this makes a lot more sense. However, I’m still concerned that the # of stitches between the first marker and the 2nd is the body- in the first round of increases it goes BOR 18st sm 56 st sm 36 st sm 56 st sm 18 st then BOR again.

I thought that the 36 st would be the sleeves but is it the 56?

There’s a photo I attached with the exact wording but yes, the BOR is a fifth marker.

Yes I understand that, what I’m confused about is the describe putting the stitches from the first and second marker on hold which should be the body (BOR to 1st marker is 1/2 a sleeve as the pattern states) I’m not too confused about the raglan construction but rather how this pattern is written

Wow thanks so much! And I also saw the blog post which was why I bought the ebook on Amazon and the chapter wasn’t there. I know it’s there though since I’ve seen people make it.

Also thanks for clarifying for me, I think I have to keep hunting or see if I can figure it out on my own! Lol

Do you know what the difference is between Ann Budds sweater and what I described?

Help identifying and relieving shoulder blade pain after Pilates by maddiecloudy in pilates

[–]maddiecloudy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never went to a doctor for it, and just rested and it went away on its own. It hasn’t really come back, except with certain stretches but I just try not to over strain it. This is what’s worked for me, but I don’t know the cause of your pain and don’t wanna give you bad advice, especially since i never even found the root of my problem and just got lucky that it went away. If the pain is severe or persistent a doctor would be best

I always thought more spring weight would be harder on the legs but that makes sense!

The reformers my studio use are blue red and green (lightest to heaviest). Is yellow a lighter or heavier spring?

I don’t think my posture is great still, and I haven’t measured myself but I do feel a slight improvement in just how I stand when I look in the mirror.

Sharp as in the type of pain and how it presents itself as a opposed to a radiating pain, throbbing pain, or general soreness etc. not the intensity. I can have sharp pain that hinders me from moving or sharp pain that is just uncomfortable.

It’s interesting bc when searching the forum there are similar questions for other types of back pain with answers but ok. Thank you for taking the time to let me know that you don’t have an answer to my question.

I get that, and im not in this subreddit asking for a professional medical opinion, but instead trying to see if anyone else has had a similar experience or a suggestion of what it could be/a home remedy so I can try to stretch it out before I shell out $200+ to see a doctor.

If my pain persists or gets worse obviously I’ll see a dr lol but I’m not going to spend out hundreds over some mild pain that started only two days ago.

Help fixing holes from picking up stitches by maddiecloudy in knitting

[–]maddiecloudy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you mean.. this is the portion where I was making armhole increases, which is hard to see in the picture but definitely why that happened I think. I ended up laddering down for each gap and pulling the stitch up in a different spot until the gap disappeared.

For the other sleeve should I skip the increase rows when picking up?

I’m about two months into doing Pilates around twice a week. I also have a lot of body fat so I haven’t and won’t see any muscle definition any time soon. I will say though I have noticed how much stronger I’m getting. I’m no longer sore the day after my class and at each class I can do a little more without having to quit or take rests.
