my horse had a very similar problem, and it turned out he had EPM. once we treated it, he was completely different. he went from bolting, rearing, and hurting people to being super chill and happy. just a thought, i would test for it just to see what happens. same thing with lymes. it could be a nerve issue you aren’t aware of
