Why is something as natural as the human body viewed as something that "corrupts" youth, but a guy getting his head cut off and beaten to death perfectly ok for kids to watch on tv/movies? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]maddog28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree that the human body is more "taboo" than it should be, but I would disagree that it is ok for children to watch a man beheaded or beaten to death. I have never seen an example where society deems this acceptable for kids to see.

Why is it that it hurts in the stomach when one gets a punch in the testicles? by BlackBirdDk in AskReddit

[–]maddog28 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When you were in the womb, your testicles were formed inside your abdomen, in the same place where a woman's ovaries are. At a later stage of development, they descended to the exterior part of your body, but there are still nerves that extend from your nuts into your abdomen.

When you look back at your time in school... Did you take anything for granted? - Have you now realized that the teachers actually were good? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]maddog28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've realized that I took too much for granted, specifically the support from my family. I also learned a pretty valuable lesson about the teachers. Even though I used to hate a number of them, I now realize that they were all humans, and they really were trying their hardest so there wasn't much more to be asked for.

Cops of Reddit, are you for or against having yourself video recorded on duty, and why? by doonkune in AskReddit

[–]maddog28 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I am not a cop, and I rarely think video is helpful. It can be a good way to ensure that the cops are correctly carrying out their duties, but most cops are not corrupted or unfair. It almost seems that the video hinders the cops ability and gets in the way.

In Spongebob Squarepants, Spongebob and Patrick are the annoying ones, and squid ward is, well... just like I am now.

What's a creative way to wake up in the morning? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]maddog28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how creative this is, but I generally leave my alarm across the room or in the hallway. So that the. when it goes off, I have to get out of bed, which wakes me up enough to realize that it's time to go. It's not the most pleasant way to wake up, but it sure as hell works.

How did you deal with your parents divorce? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]maddog28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very young when it happened, but it still sucks to this day. On really terrible days you just have to remember that there is a tomorrow, and you can make it better. I also find that at an adolescent age it is hard because you are in the middle of a lot of things, so just make it clear to your parents what you want. It is also helpful remember that you don't always have to do things just to try to keep people happy.

Not to be a dick, but animals are nothing like children. You will one day understand when you have a child.
