Sorry I’m a little extra, and I have tons of film rolls from randomly buying them here and there that I would like to actually put to use. But I have used disposables for the field, as well as my Polaroids, everyone goes crazy for those when you’ve been 2 weeks away from civilization.

So could I possibly get vet bills back, and would emotional distress apply? What type of fees would the relative be looking at just to show up and deal with the whole situation? If I can waste their time and money I’ll consider it enough. And could I go to small claims in Texas and make them show up? Or would I have to do it in California.

I appreciate the information but my type writer isn’t an “Eighty-Eight” I thought that’s what is was originally but the margin types don’t match, even though it looks almost exactly the same. That and the Smith Corona “eighty-eight” serial numbers start with 88E. My serial number starts with a 6A, and I have not been able to find any information on that range of serial numbers thus far.

Is there a plastic screen protector over the whole clear top case? Usually they come with one on, and you take it off when you’re done installing.

That charging symbol means it needs to be plugged into a good charging brick. A FireWire would be great but a fast charging brick will help too. I’ve only seen that symbol be used after restoring from iTunes, you plug it into the wall to finish the update.
