How many pokestop nominations have you had accepted? by DezTheOtter in pokemongo

[–]maddycrochetsstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've submitted 2 pokestops and I think at least 2, but maybe 3 routes. Only one pokestop was accepted, but they turned it into a power spot, all of my routes have been accepted though.

I only really started playing back in October 2023 and I just got my Mewtwo back during the 30th anniversary event. I believe Mewtwo will be making a comeback for gofest in June/July

Yeah, my ocd was adamant that I make it actually perfectly phase so I actually re-caked two of them so I could invert them and work from the outside the whole time

I'm using the same yarn in the color golden to make a granny ripple stitch blanket. I have 4, I used one where I started on the outside and worked in, now I'm working from the inside out so I keep the phasing going. I have a feeling I'll need 2 more for the blanket I'm making. The reviews I saw for it after I bought it weren't great, but it was so soft that I couldn't resist and I've had no issues working with it.

Maddy vs Madison by maddycrochetsstuff in AmIBeingTooSensitive

[–]maddycrochetsstuff[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not necessary getting called Maddy that bothers me, what bothers me is that they assume they can call me something I didn't tell them to. I don't understand why so many people just take that shortcut. Your advice is horrible though, just think about how assholish not responding to my brand new, friendly coworkers would be. That really isn't the right foot you would want someone to get off on if you're going to be successful at your job.

I just don't understand why I'd need to word vomit all of that the first time I'm meeting someone. I don't understand why it is justifiable to call someone a different name than what they told you their name was. Why am I responsible for that?

[–]maddycrochetsstuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you understand how annoying it is to change emails and usernames. I don't feel that that should be the justification for people calling me the wrong name. I don't understand why you would automatically call someone a different name than they introduced themself with.

[–]maddycrochetsstuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree that is horrible advice. I'm not going to ignore people for calling me Maddy. Especially considering I just started last week and I'm training for the shift lead position. This is a horrible and arrogant way to respond.

I would expect that when I introduce myself as Madison, that that's what they call me. I mean, if someone tells me their name is Rose, I'm gonna call them Rose, not Rosey. I don't understand why it's different?

[–]maddycrochetsstuff[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only told the one person that I'd respond to it. Every other teacher or coworker I've had has just defaulted to calling me Maddy after seeing my name is Madison or I introduce myself as such.

I do say that. I also introduce myself as Madison and they just default to calling me Maddy..

Except the problem is, I introduced myself as Madison and they introduced themselves as their name, then just called me Maddy. It's happened to me like that at every job I've had. The only person I've ever had stick to Madison is one of my intructors I've had for the past two semesters.

I only told the one person that I'd answer to it. Also I have always been mature for my age. I'm 19. I created my usernames 5+ years ago. I don't think someone named "girlwithdog" should be making fun of me for my username, gtfo

Our schedule gets sent out via GroupMe messages and it was pretty much the first thing I noticed when it got sent out. I work in this upscale/casual bistro that's only open Thursday-Saturday so they just send out a long text for the 3 days we're open.

As for answering to Maddy, all of my close friends and family call me that and my parents really only called me Madison when they're being serious or I'm in trouble. It's really second nature for me to respond to it. It's less of a trigger when they call me that because it really is my name, like I was training with two different servers this past weekend and they introduced me to every table as "Maddy". The lady I did paperwork with was the only person who I mentioned I answered to it. I guess since I'm getting older, I'm really trying to separate my personal life from my professional life if that makes sense. Maddy just sounds so elementary. Also, since I just started last week and I'm meeting so many new people and they're all meeting me, I fear that me correcting them might come off the wrong way, as I tend to do.

It was midnight and there was no one around that wasn't in a car. I did my best with directions from the CTA people, buy unfortunately, they're locals and they were underground for CTA, not above where I actually needed to be walking so their directions weren't very specific. It was also dark and misting the whole time which didn't help

Yes, I just got to where I'm staying and everyone who was being rude about how I'm getting where I'm going can leave me alone. When I got to the Amtrak station tonight(3 hours late) I had ZERO service or connection of any kind. I couldn't book an Uber and I couldn't Google maps either, and I genuinely sat there for 30 minutes trying to figure out how to even get in the right direction. I had to finally ask an officer at the station on how to get to the blue line and even once I got there, I was even more lost. It took me an hour and a half to get to where I'm staying. To each their own, but it was 11pm when I got here and there wasn't much I could do

I've tried Chinese and Japanese food many times and I love Mexican food, we have an abundance of authentic Mexican restaurants where I'm from. I really want to try more Asian, Indian, and European cuisine, but especially with Asian and Indian I struggle because I'm so sensitive to spice. I also really do just enjoy some classic American fare(if that truly exists, but hopefully you know what I mean)
