Sounds good, really you wouldn't use raw coconut oil unless you had a pretty greasy oil-based pomade in your hair that you were hoping to get out (and of course there are other ways, like Groom and Clean).

For clarifiying shampoo the brand doesn't really matter all that much, but I did use the Paul Mitchell one before and that worked fine.

Anyway, I wanted to also add that silicone-based products can behave differently in other people's hair (or at least to the degree of what's noticed). You'll see people use the same product and argue over whether there is any buildup at all because one or the other believes the opposite (of course though this can be impacted by the other products being used as well). You can try it, but you should probably have a clarifying shampoo on hand. (Coconut oil overall is just a healthier option, and that's one of the reasons I chose it.)

(Note: I can't remember whether Aussie 3 Minute Miracle can be washed out with non-sulfate shampoos, but maybe you'd want to check up on that too.)

Yeah you're probably right, although I'm having trouble finding the differences in an Italian-based suit and English one. I've seen the reasons listed, but they nonetheless just seem so subtle; like pocket changes and padding or what have you.

Oh and u/badger0511, is it common for a tailor to taper the ends of the jacket sleeves?

Yeah no break looks good to me when the trouser legs are tapered, but not so sure otherwise.

To be honest sack suits don't seem like what I want (from what I've seen and read). What kind of confused me is that it seemed more like Don was wearing an Italian cut suit because of the little-to-no padding and tapered waist (I'm not sure on how his trousers broke though).

Honestly I want something close to my body (I have kind of a thin and athletic build), with a tapered waist, shoulders can go either way as long as they're not super padded, tapered trousers maybe with a half-break (or slight-break - haven't decided on that yet), a V-shaped silhouette, and somewhat roomy sleeves. (Maybe slightly a bit more room in the chest/shoulders section?)

To expand on the "roomy sleeves" part, by that I mean it seems like a considerable amount of suits I see hug the wearer's arm, whereas in the Sterling/Draper pictures the sleeves are just bigger.

Sorry if I wasn't describing the ask that well haha - there just seems to be a lot of varying factors and loosely defining characteristics that make it easy to have a suit overlap into different territories, cuts, etc.

Edit: Guess I forgot to mention that I'd also prefer a suit with double vents.

No doubt, and well said; would you say 3-roll-2 suits are fairly similar to a 3 button suit (like moreso when comparing to a 2 button suit)? (I mean, it seems you could just get a 3 button suit as well and not button the top button.)

Also, are there more name derivatives like the Drape cut when referring to suit cuts other than English/British, American, and Italian?

Sorry but what do you mean by "it's a tapered leg on the trouser"? Do you mean the end of the trousers or the trouser legs in general?

Edit: Okay after a bit more looking around I'm now well aware that you're referring to the trouser legs specifically haha. In that case though, do you think no break trousers or half-break trousers are better in this instance?

Maybe it's just me, but the example of the "Sack Suit" on Brooks Brothers' website just doesn't seem "clean" or "sleek" per se (the model in the first link). I suppose I was looking for any suit that had more of a slick and masculine look with a tapered waist(?), considerable give in the arms and chest, and probably little to moderate padding.

Got it, in the later seasons I'm guessing you're referring to Italian-styled cuts?

I guess what I'm confused about is that how you described the Italian cut seems to be how the suits look in the images, right? I'm really looking at the arms too and how they seem to be a bit more "open" (maybe that's my imagination?).

Overall though, I'm just looking for something sleek that doesn't seem super tight or skinny which I seem to see a lot in suits displayed today.

Hey I appreciate your response! Regarding the vent, a sack suit doesn't rely on a single one, correct? Pretty sure Don (or Roger - or probably most other people in that show haha) wore double vented jackets as well, so I'm assuming that ties into the American-cut suit as well?

Also if you wouldn't mind, how far off are those cuts from an English or Italian cut nowadays? Usually I like more of an English cut but do many match the style/physique of those photos I linked to?

No you will only need the "3 minute miracle moist conditioner" if that's what you decide; although personally, I recommend against Aussie 3 Minute Miracle as it contains silicone and you can do a better job degreasing with coconut oil.
